Of Christmas

Mother never believed in Christmas trees
Or exchanging gift’s on Christmas Day
She said it was all commercialism
A holiday complete with Santa’s sleigh

She believed that Christ was born
In a manger filled with hay
But not the day we had chosen
To celebrate on Christmas day

We all attended church in His honor
To praise His Heavenly birth
And how he came to save our souls
While walking upon this earth

So many people have lost its meaning
It’s not for gifts under a tree
It’s not about a light show
For all the neighbors to see

It’s to celebrate the birth of Christ
Not a red dressed man in a suit
Santa Claus can’t save your soul
Of this you can’t surely refute

We spoil our children with gift’s
Hoping they will love us more
Santa Claus is a figment of your imagination
Not someone you must adore

Package after package, rapidly ripped apart
On worthless things of this event
Thirty minutes from opening them
You wonder where everyone went

Is this what we celebrate for?
How many gifts we are to receive?
God is tired of this commercial game
It’s time we started to believe.

He is the Alpha and the Omega

There are three things God cannot do
1. He cannot lie
2. He cannot learn…(for he already knows everything)
3. He cannot force you to accept His son as your Savior

There are four things God does not know

1. He does not know a sin that he does not hate
2. He does not know a sinner that he does not love
3. He does not know of an alternate plan to reach Him
without going through His son first
4. He doesn’t know of a better time to receive His son, than right now.

In glory to His name
