Feeding a Trance

My eyes found mellow
As morning stole softly
Through a myriad of fluttering lashes
Refusing to accept reality’s dance, I rolled
Over to face that painting on the wall

The artist is my nephew that
Resides in Phoenix, Arizona
He said I was the encouragement to
His artistic ability and to the painting
That he proclaims as being inspired by
Something I wrote about mundane metaphors

Somewhere between the peyote buds
And cactus flowers, I wander through
His amazing interpretations.
Montezuma and Apollo, tinged
With burnt umber and brush stroked
By times imagination

Bit’s of Farmington and Santa Fe
Dance on this canvas
Sharing the colors of
Page, Arizona.

With this painting
Inspiration is
Always near

This painting is by my nephew
Gary Spencer in Phoenix, Arizona
A 6th degree black belt Christian
A walking,talking inspiration
that breathes smiles into everyone he meets

JFTLOI and LPW CTSS challenge

P.S. The way he explained this painting is that he takes
my written words and put's them into that machine
and the contents filter out into his arm, hand and paint brush...
Since he has an outstanding sense of humor,I would
wager it was from his vivid imagination...lol
