Something Something

Words just sit there
Smirking, perking, jerking my muse
Grab a magazine, read a coupon
Read Poe backwards and sideways
Look at old postcards on the lawn

Read lines on a tree bark road
Gather wiggle worms in a can
The words just smile at me
Come on Bub, hook me up man
So I munch on old smoky adverbs
Swallow a tall tail or three
It may be redundant
But it sure can’t hurt me

Guess Always My Words
Wants us to improvise
So I’ll put on my metaphorical levi’s
And pull a feathered quill from
That old goose that is running rampant
Through the halls of Starlite…

Singing :”Goose Riders in the Sky”
For Pete’s Challenge
