I wrote a write about not commenting on poems when hosting.
respnsibility and courtesy, that poem has been removed from site.
It was not directed at anyone, it was an observation of many challenges where hosts only comment on who they want ignoring the rest. I am sorry if anyone took offence. was not meant that way. I publicly appologise for my opion hurting or upsetting anyone

Doc I read your poem. I did not see where voicing your opinion was wrong. It is done on a daily occurance. I did not leave a comment but can see the issue from both sides. Sometimes things do become too politically correct. Shuck it off, Hugs~

Jesus, didn't expect to see this or your recant Doreen!
Are you being held up as an "example" of something? If so, it should be of being a most caring individual and one who is inclusive of all writers on this site as well as someone who consistently and obviously loves Starlite and has its best interests in mind.
With all the crappola that goes on here, do you really need to apologize and recant your poem?
Sometimes there is a blatent right and wrong.
It IS wrong and hurtful for a host not to comment on every poem in their Challenge. Many poets put their best out there, not to mention exposing their emotions.
It IS wrong to not host if chosen without good reason. There are hosts who really ponder what to choose and actually think that the privilege of hosting is equal to the win.
When would be the "right" time to point it out,
When so few remain that the website collapses or there's a fee attached to posting?
The ones who are skipped over are not merely props here to hold up the rest in order to keep the site going round and round. It gets tiring, and "Atlas" DID shrug.

I saw nothing wrong with what you wrote
I commented on it
In addition, maybe I offended people as well
However, we should be able to be honest in how we feel,
Nothing wrong in stating the truth.
If you are a host for a challenge
The polite thing to do
Is read each poem and comment,
That was pretty much all you said
I too stood on my soap box and gave my thoughts,
That I refuse to take back
If this hurts or offends anyone
I am truly sorry,
Nevertheless, there is freedom of speech
And a right to have ones own opinion.

Looks like I posted my little rant in the wrong place.. this isn't about challenge poems.. but poetry at Starlite in general... so her is my Whaaaa on ppl not commenting as posted elsewhere..

Ever so many poems are read and few comments are left. I wonder WHY??? It doesn't take but a few seconds to leave even a one word comment.. Starlite has changed while I was away.
If I take the time to open a write I ALWAYS leave a comment! Last night I read a beautiful post by nannalee ... called ... An Amazing Work of Art ...
I was the fifth person to read this, but the first to comment. Starliters, PLEASE... lets support one another a little more here, and comment on the writes we read. There is some awesome talent here and these people deserve recognition.

Hey Doc, I wrote a poem practically about the same thing, and on top of that I posted a comment that was bothering me again, and now I can't find it on the board anywhere... I think it is wrong of whoever runs this sound off board, should be expected to let each of us know when and why they removed our concerns.. this is what I just posted and can not find it anywhere in this area:

Well, I am back again to sound off on a old and sore subject for me... I will not be entering anymore challenges, starlite's was my last and when I looked today, just about all the poets on that challenge had read the others poems and just about every one received comments but ME!!! ten people read my poem and not one comment, from any one the other poets, just one from my faithful friend Missmarry... What a big disappointment, and it really crushes my ego a little too.. So thanks, for the few wins that I have had, but sad to say I am positively done entering any more challenges on starlite... We should be able to voice our opinions, and I am sorry... if it stepos on peoples toes, but I for one am ready to go in search of a new Poetry site.
I am tired of the things that go here and it just gets washed under the table somewhere.

Paula..I would be the one to remove your post....since I have not done so....I have no idea what post you are referring to. If you could provide me with more detail as to where you posted a message I might be able to help...but nothing posted from you on June 25th has been removed from this board.

Paula, I have searched too...no post was found...and as I said no post was removed...perhaps this is one of those little glitches that happens once in a while....however....nothing was removed by any starlite staff.
You restated your post above, so I am sure all who are concerned have seen it |

I will say this one more time.........NO POST WAS INTENTIONALLY REMOVED...There would be no reason to do this as this is the sound off area....it was not removed by any of the moderators or myself.....
