I will be moving this discussion to sound off....Thank you Paula It is indeed a problem when poems in challenges are hidden..however if you let me know I will notify the poet and request it be open view...You can also choose not to vote for a poem you cannot judge. |

I am in agreement with you Paula...I also feel that if a person enters a challenge, he should read all entires and vote after the challenge has ended...I see nothing fair about posting in a challenge if that is the only intention. |

How are we suppose to vote on a challenge, when you go to the challenge to vote, your suppose to read the poems and make your choice, But it states this poem is Hidden - How can you vote for something that is un reable and not public? This is very concerning to me, I mean I thought that is what the challenges were all about. Excuse me for stpping on anyones toes, but if that's the case then they shouldn't be allowed to enter.. That is my opinion and I feel very strongly about this...\
Can anyone give me their opinion... I mean we must be fair about this, but I see nothing fair when the poen is hidden, how do we vote on it and be bias? Paula

I think I mentioned this once before, here is my question, why do starliter's go to the trouble to read our poems and then not comment? I love the comments it gives me insight as to whether or not they think my poen is good or bad.. I would like the comments even if they are not to my liking. That's how I feel about my poetry, the comments help me grow, I mean when 80 some people read my poem and I only get 4 or 5 comments, to me that seems pretty sad... And I have tried my darnest to read as many poems as I possibly can, but it tends to make one not want to read other poets work and comment if they are not gonna return the favor.. When I post a poem for a challege I try to read each poem and vote for the one I like best, but when I read them and click the box to leave comments one starliter may have 15 comments where another one may have only had two or three, and when ya look at it that way, it seems very unfair to me... But as always that's just my opinion, and I felt this in my heart and I needed to sound off.. Thanks and I hope that each person who reads my comments here will think a little more about all of the poems in a challenge and give each person a little ego boost. Thanks for letting me sound off. Help help help! This concerns only my poetry, I do participate in the challenges as much as I can I do have health issues, but I do like to write. I hope in gods grace soon I will have a book published. Now to the nitty gritty. I know voting and comments means alot to the poet I been here at starlite since 2003 and concerned about and will harp a lil bit about who wins the challenges. You can be gone from starlite from a good while and as soon as they come back they are chosen winners! Now does that sound fair to you? Also i'm posting this to belly ache and lord knows I'm not that. This has been goin on in my mind for a long time now and some things you just try to ignore but the time has come for me to sound off about it.
