Hello all

I wanted to start this announcement thread off by sharing the work that we have been doing toward a new navigation menu for Starlite.

The main intent of the menus is to help new people who are coming to the site be able to find what they are looking for easier. We have not added all of the links to the menu, but it is a start. We hope it will give you a sense of the direction.

Well, I can not post my poetry or any comments in the cafe either and this is very frustrating. And I dont know what to do anymore.Devin you need to help us please, because it seems that, and I dont know this for sure that others poets may be having the same problem that I have.And this is not good at all.

Hello everyone.
I am working on the issue. Will try to have it up some time tomorrow. It appears that there was a hardcoded date of Jan 22, 2012 in the code. After that date, the login script was designed to stop. It will take me a few hours to solve the issue.

And NO, the site is not going to close. This was a bug from the previous owner. In fact, I hope to get involved a lot more soon.

I and my wife both understand the difficulties
of keeping systems updated as has to happen every so often. It takes time as the server has to update to new time lines. I will await your

Hello everybody!
We have faith and trust in Starlite Staff,as we are expecting this issue will sooner come to an end!
and the Forum will be more safer than ever,
"Once bitten,twice shy.".
My suggestion in simple words,is to be more alert to any outside intrusion,by erecting internet firewalls,and settle an anti spyware program,for the momment.

Devin...I cannot post a poem on my laptop at wifi for over a week..But .. sine a few days ago.. I have found a hobbit path that permits me to post on the internet on my Sprint cell phone withe name Rumor. Now that I postded a few simple poems on this Hobbit path which is not the normal route....I still cannot sign into Starlite in order to enter my posted poem in a challenge...e.g. such as....my latest poem entitled.. Warm Cider and Cake... It is prepared for the challenge..Just for the love of It...Kajuncutie is the moderator... challenge ends Feb 3 at eleven pm. Wish I could sign in... so I could enter my poem in the challeng. I appreciate all you do.... and wish you all the best in your endeavors. Please every one be patient I am tracing down the jerk trying to tell everyone that devin is not the owner any more. You can believe this, I have been woorking very hard on catching this person and have some leads that are now panning out. Devin is working on the programs here at the starlite and will have it taken care of as soon as humanly possible. the site will not close and when it comes back up Devin will have everyone informed of it at that time.

I have to left click a poem link 4 or 5 times or more in order for it to open. Persistence and patients is the key.

I`m not accusing anyone on this site.
There are hackers who don`t play right.

The sight may need an overhaul.

Just give Devin time.
He`ll have it fixed as soon as he can.
After all, he`s a smart man.
He`s the keeper of the stars.

Until Devin gets everything worked out, maybe you can post your poems here, or get someone that can get into Starlite to post it for you. But if someone posts a poem for another, make sure you give them credit by copping and pasting their copywriter from one of their posted poems on it.

INTERNET PATHS ARE SO COMPLEX

Internet paths are so complex.
No wonder we get so vex!
But what can we do?
How can we get through?
Sometimes, we can do nothing at all.
We just have to be patient
while someone fixes it all.

I know, it is hard to do.
There are a world of paths
to go through.
I`m amazed they keep it going
as well as they do.

Your computer paths are more complex
than your own paths.
Or are they?
There are so many paths to choose from.
It`s your choice, not like a C.D. Rom.
A C.D. Rom has only one path to follow.
What you put in, it will swallow.

You can chose a different path to search.
You can travel on any path you choose to.
Sometimes computer paths get crossed.
But that`s no reason to be tossed.
Some technicians are smart enough to fix it.
It may take some time to uncross it.

We are so blessed to have the Internet.
Is it worth all the problems? You bet.

Hello all,
Devin Is working on the log in issues please give him time to work his magic.
Right now I can get in on the newest version of windows 7 home on my wifes computer give admin a note and if you have the newer version of windows you should , after they change your password, be able to get in. I still on these pages have to sign in in my old PW but I'm on my old XP version windows. Again please give Devin time so he can get things under control.

}My issue is not logging in. The most horrifying thing has happened, I have not logged in since last year, and today when I logged in, I found that my work is under some else's name! I am Suzanne Auciello, I have been a member of this site since 2004 and only posted 3 poems, (fearing something like this would happen) "Keen Eyes", "Prayer" and "Desperation". These were written at a time in my life when my Mother was dying, these poems couldn't be closer to my heart. PLEASE, I beg you, remedy this situation as soon as humanly possible. Thank you for your consideration and have a blessed day.
Prayer

Please, help me, God-
I feel all alone.
I think I'm doing the right thing,
but I feel I'm being stoned.
My Mother is dying,
for her life I pray-
I can't seem to help enough,
I'm there everyday.
I don't understand how that could be wrong-
I'm just trying to help and keep her strong.
Please, help me, Lord, sometimes I can't see the light.
I know it's there somewhere, but it's pretty dim tonight.

Keen Eyes

In this world there is nothing that hasn't been seen,
I know that to be true- because His eyes are keen.
I pray to Him daily, hourly, or by the minute,
my prayers, like yours, are heard - don't forget it.

Desperation

This feeling I can't deny,
the stress built up to my eyes-
so thick that I feel unwise.
The fact is that I despise.
to handle these inner cries.
All the while I disguise
my mind wonders to the skies.
No matter how many tries,
my heavy body here lies.
Continueing, it pries-
as my brain it fries.
Through my system it flies,
taking over my size.
To me they chastise,
asking me all the 'Why's?'-
to that I have no reply.
My efforts I can only apply,
(even if they go awry.)
I pray everyday-it's no surprise,
it all makes sense through His eyes.
God knows of all lies,
Faith bonds all ties.
You experience, He justifies.

I think redesigning the menus is a good idea. I would also like to suggest enabling a link to Facebook on each poem page. This would make it easier to share with others and get them to visit The Starlite Cafe.
