We are slowly making changes. I guess speed is relative. Some would say that we are making them very fast. Still most things remain the same with just little additions here and there. Here are some of the additions.
1) We are trying out Free Verse. Everett is putting that together for us. We are looking into making it a permanent weekly challenge (probably to be decided by a panel) Do you like Free Verse.. give it a shot
2) You have already seen the addition of the Decision by Panel or Committee to the new Challenges. This gives us the ability to select up to 5 people to be the judges. In these challenges, they are the only ones with a vote button.
3) We are now adding the Decision by HOST. This decision model is very similar to the "old challenges" The poets submit poems and the host decides which is best. The AFG challenges is the first challenge to move to this model. The current challenge will be the decision of Darlene Hylton
3) You may have seen the new weekly challenge of Realm of Darkness. This is a weekly gather spot for all you that love the Dark side of Poetry
4) You will see more instances of the Tab Menu. They have been placed on the Challenge Home Page as well as on the top of each Challenge. This allows easier navigation
5) The Tab Menu has been enhanced. Now under READ.. LATEST POEMS, there are sub menus that detail out the different types of lists you may be looking for. They will all take you to the same page, but it might help to see what is there
6) We have added two more selections
-- Top 50 Bookmarks for the site and
-- Last 50 Challenge winners.
In the past, we only have shown the top 10 bookmarks and the most current winners. These lists will give our readers some of the poems for which there is a reason to believe they are high quality poems. I realize that this is a difficult tag to place on a poem. So we continue to look for ways of finding the best poems to present to our readers.
