As most of you have probably seen, this weekend I put out a new feature called Bulletins. It is a way for a Starliter to "publish" a short message (less than 200 characters) to all their friends. The intent is to give Starliters a way to communicate to their friends about whatever .. "I am sick and can't be on for a while" to "hey people I am hosting come and see"
You can find any bulletins sent by one of your friends on your homepage (at the bottom of center column). You can also send out a bulletin to all your friends at Create Bulletin This link is also available from your homepage.
Please take a few minutes to look at the policies for Bulletins before posting and then have fun... Tell your friends your thoughts.

The bulletins and the poem tracking caused a performance issue today. I have set up a job that i hope will kill two birds with one stone. Every early morning, a job will run which will delete everything over 5 days old. This will help you keep your bulletins down and keep the system from getting bogged down.
I like the bulletins. I think they add something. However, we do need to take some steps to make sure they don't hinder performance to the site. Depending on how this works, I may add another restriction to the system allowing only one bulletin per day per user. This means that you would only be able to send out one bulletin a day.
I think this is better than losing the feature entirely. I will keep you informed in this thread . Thank you
