As you probably have already started to notice, I have released the first version of the BookCase to our Yellow Star Contributors. If you have a made a contribution of any amount since November 15, 2007, then please make sure that you have a yellow star on your home page. It gives you several benefits. The BookCase has been placed on our contributor's home pages and is ready for customization. Pick the labels that you would like to use for your bookshelves. You can pick up to eight labels (they are like categories). Then go to each labeled shelf, and link the poems that fits on that shelf. That is all there is to it. Whenever a visitor comes to your home page, they will be able to see your bookcase and more quickly get to the poems that interest them the most. In a couple weeks, we will be opening the feature up to all users. Then, as time passes, we will be adding features to it... like multiple bookcases per users. the ability to add other people's poetry to a bookcase along side your own poetry. Thank you all. have fun. Live to Love... Love to Live... the perfect circle

As you know, we give our contributors the first change to take a look at our new features. The Bookcase was a perfect example of this. Now that they have gotten a chance to play with it, we are opening it up to everyone. Now let me answer some basic questions 1) Why do I need it? There are several very good reasons. First, it is a great way of show visitors to your homepage the poems that you would like to show them. You can create a shelf of Love Poems so they can find all your love poems. A shelf of MY BEST to allow them to see your best poems. You can put older poems in here to get them read more. Second, it can help you categorize your own poems. For example, let say you have published a book. Sometimes it is hard to remember which poems are in that book? Or if you are putting together poems for a new book. This is a great place to group them together. 2) What kind of groups can I build? You can build 8 shelves with any label you would like. So if you can come up with a name for a grouping of your poems. Then you can build a group with that name.. uhhhh within limits of course. 3) How many poems can I put into each shelf? There isn't a limit. The more you put into a shelf the slower it will make the loading of that page. The impact of that will depend on the type of connection. Most people will notice an impact. 4) How do I start? Go to your home page. You will now see a BOOKCASE title with a link below for configuration. Click on the link and start building your group. It is pretty intuitive. If you have any issues, the management team has been playing with it for some time just round one of them up. 5) Is this the end of this feature? No, this is only the first phase. The bookcase will become an important part of publishing for Starlite. We will be giving you the ability to add titles, table of contents, dedications elements to the bookshelf. In the future, you will have the ability to order your poems within the bookshelf. It will be like a book laid out of the poems you have already posted online. I think answers all the questions that jump to mind at the moment. Check it out. The responses so far have been fantastic.
