This is a missioary that I support in "Prayer" he finances all his own missions trips. Has never asked anyone to support him to go and spread the "Good News."
Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ:: Im in Malaysia now. A couple days
ago I met a guy at lunch who was from Bangladesh. I started talking to
him about my vemma business and he was very interested. He appeared to
to be quite wealthy and I found out he was in the garment business. We
made plans to go out last night to shoot some pool together. When we
arrived at the bar everyone knew him and treated him like royalty
giving
him everything on the house. He introduced me to the bar owner who was
in the middle of a poker game with a bunch of risky looking characters.
Then Mahbub and I sat down and talked a while. I was a little concerned
because I could tell I was rubbing shoulders with a criminal element. I
decided to put all my cards on the table and told Mahbub that I was a
minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to which Mahbub who is into
Islam
didn't seem to flinch. Next they told me they had a gal they wanted to
introduce me to and Mahbub told me I would have to give her
some money and I could take her to my hotel. I told him I was not
interested in that because of my relationship with Jesus. All of a
sudden
the gal arrived, a beautiful filipina gal of 22 named Jenny Santos.
Mahbub said just go sit down with her and get her a drink and talk
things
over so we sat outside at a picnic table and talked. Jenny told me she
had a son out of wedlock with a Chinese guy and he left her as soon as
she was pregnant. When she had the baby and it was a boy they tried to
take the baby so she had to flee the Philippines. Some guy paid her way
to Malaysia and gave her a place to stay with the agreement that he
would find her some work so she could pay him back. Well you can guess
what
work he found for her and he is now her pimp. We sat and talked under
the watchful eyes of the pimps cronies. I talked to her about The Lord
and she admitted she did not like what she was doing but was trapped
into it. If she did not do it they would beat her up and also it
would endanger her family back in Manila.I shared scripture with her
and then asked her if she would like to receive the Lord to which she
said yes but that this wasn't the best place to do it. I said you dont
have to bow your head or close your eyes; you just have to repeat this
prayer that I give you to repeat after me and really mean it from your
heart and that she could be saved. She prayed with me and really meant
it
from her heart it appeared. Anyhow she really needs the Lord to
intervene on her behalf. She still owes her pimp about $700 so he
expects her
to keep on working. I would have paid her debt but didnt feel led to
because I am leaving tonight and would not be able to follow through
and
help her and she would end up back in the same position or even if i
did pay it I doubt they would let her go so easily because she is a
source of their income. I gave her my email address and caught a taxi
back
to my hotel realizing I was in a pretty risky situation since i was
messing with their money earner. Please pray for her because she needs
a miracle to which I told her God was able to perform on her behalf.
Keep me in prayer also as I realize the devils crowd is not very happy
when I try to steal one away from him. Gary

Jon,
I am glad to hear the Good Report from your friend. I shall be praying that she shall continue to experience healing and be cancer free. My prayers are with her and her family.

OH boy 16 and she feels as if she is all grown up. Hmmmmm think I have heard something like this before too. Well lets get this young lady safely back home where she belongs and let us do so by working together in prayer. Praying immediately after posting this. ~Jacie~

Praise Reort: The Fletcher family asks for continued prayer for their 16 yr old daughter who has run away..
She called on New Years to speak with them....
She has said she is all grown up and doing what she wants to....
Please Pray for her safety and the return of Love for her family so that she will return home and finish her education in a safe enviornment.

Thank you all for watching this thread and your continued prayers. I would like to clarify the topic of suicide. That passed many many months ago. If she really wanted to die, she had multiple opportunities while battling aplastic anemia. She was literally given the opportunity to leave, or stay, and she has chosen to stay. Suicide is not even a factor anymore.
Further, she has been allowed to go home and was able to spend Christmas with her children.
She still has a long path to walk. Yet everyone is highly confident she will pull through completely and emerge, as a butterfly from the cocoon, transformed and bearing a new outlook on life.

I also add my prayers for your friend. Life and fair just does not seem to go together. Faith, hope, love, and prayers for those we care about and those we may not even know . . . does. It matters not the name for the one that hears the prayers hears all and knows exactly the need.
I will watch this thread for any updates and tell your friend that she has many that will remain beside her no matter what the outcome of her tests may be. The feeling of ALONE feeds the threat of suicide. Your friend is in my prayers.

Father please send your will into this situation in JESUS name.....Fear be gone....Suicide be gone in JESUS name.
The application in JESUS name carries the weight we cannot understand but I believe it works for others as it has worked for me for 21 yrs.

I'm happy to say, my friend is due to be released Christmas Eve, and will be able to spend the holidays with her boys, at home!

I am 24 and have had an horrific past also, and know what it's like to feel alone in the world and like you want to die. I first of all would like to say thank you Jon for becoming her friend in the first place. I don't know what she's been through but if it's anythign like my past, then friends like you is what gives her strength. I will be praying for her day and night. |

There has been so much sad news here lately, I'm shocked to find how many Starliter's and family are facing tough illnesses.
I thought I might post an update to my friend's condition. She is still in intensive care quarantine, and is still far from out of the woods. Basically has no immune system right now. But, she has beaten very long odds so far, and her body is rebuilding the much needed bone marrow.
There are complications arising from the meds, but at this point, she is almost certainly going to beat this overall and be able to return to a normal life. She will have to careful to avoid any major illness or infection for at least a year, but if she can go 3 years without relapse, she will probably never suffer a relapse.
Much credit goes to her iron will and refusal to die, but I'd like to think the prayers have helped too...
And in that, perhaps some inspiration for others facing long odds too. Prayer and an iron will to live are a potent combination.

Man Jon what a testimony to the workings of prayer. And the last post where you tell us about your friend and her experinceing the here after and then coming back is REALLY an eye opener to the need and call for prayer. I am deeply touched by what you have told us here. AND MY PRAYERS for your friend will be ongoing until she is .......and I am believnig this.....all ok again.
