I was deeply saddened this morning when I heard of Anitas passing. Although I didn't know her personally, I know that she was a highly respected member and a genuine friend to many.
She was a very special person, and my warmest thoughts go out to her family and to her friends here. |

I only knew of Anita between our many swapping talks in e-mails and our little petty disagreements (but we get them all) then we got back on track again. When I heard she was ill I wrote a poem for her. But hearing now she's gone to God, I wished only to say I'm sorry. My condolescences to the family both here in Starlite and your too Moonpixie.

Anita will be missed,. I will trying to keep her Birthday Collabs running if I may. She was so good at them and I loved reading them.
She was so full of light and love and she will be greatly missed by one and all, including myself.

I spoke to Anita 2 maybe 3 months ago. It was a wonderful conversation and a real surprise to have her call me. Tonight I sit and ask myself WHY I didn't call her when I wasn't hearing from her. I feel terrible.....just terrible now learning that she has passed away. She was a wonderful lady and a true blessing to this cafe. She will most certainly be missed by many. To her family my deepest sympathy. The SHOCKWAVES have hit this cafe tonight after learning of her death. REST IN PEACE dear Anita. Love ~Jacie~

I have just read this thread and am also in complete shock. How well I remember Anita's phone calls while I spent nine long days in the hospital a year ago. She made me laugh and helped to pass the time while I could do nothing else. I have e-mailed you, Janna. I am sure by now you know how much your Mom was loved by those of us in the Starlite family. Much love and prayers are with you and your family this night.

I sadly don't have much to update.. I spoke w/ the detective today .. it appears my mom was dead for @ a week before they found her monday night. I will know more after the state M.E. has run his tests or w/e. My mother always wanted to be cremated so that is what I will be doing.. I am not sure when she will be released to me for that to be done.
Several of you asked where to send flowers or donation I will try to get back with you on that .. I am flooded w/ emails so trying to get to them little my little ..hang in there..
Thank you all for making this a nice home for my mom she told me stories about so many of you during the times we would be getting along. I know she loved starlite and all that is here. |

Janna, I am so sorry to hear about this. It really saddens me as I thought a lot of your mother. I had not talked to her in a while due to so many things going on in my life. Now I hate that I lost touch with her. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I spoke with Janna on the phone earlier this evening. I wanted to let you all know that Anita died in a very peaceful state. As if she had laid down to take a nap.
I told Janna that we would all help her gather her Mom's poetry together. And please do write your tributes to Anita and share the links with us all.
Anita is deeply missed. |

Maybe they're telling her about that time me and Brian__________________________ (((((((((GASP!!!!!!!!)))))))
Well if they are, let them tell all,
for I know I have been forgiven,
and 2 who would never point Judgemental fingers at me, were Grandma and Janice.
For they above all, understood me.
But it matters not what they tell Anita,
for it is al the truth.
And I know that they 3 again have been given
their eternal and cherished youth.

Janna,I am so sorry to hear about your Mothers death.I knew she was sick and needed to take some time off from her moderator duties.She often spoke of her love for her children.She was always there for many people to lean on.A very intelligent lady and we talked often about poetry and life in general. We shall miss her and her unique creativity.May God bless her in all ways..Bub |
