Thanks so much dearest Starlite family. The hospital called today and gave me a date for the scan. BUT my dad insists there is nothing wrong even though he has horrific cough and at times can hardly catch his breath. And to make matters worse one sibling is not helping matters any because she feels that what will be will be. YEP I GOT MY HANDS FULL! ~Jacie~

Oh Sweetie, I didn't notice the date on this thread. I haven't been to the computer for a few days now.

My prayers for you my Sis. I know all about stubborn parents.

I pray that the cathscan will be done soon and that you can get it across to him that this is something that must be looked into further.

Hugs and Prayers my dear friend,
Lesa

Your dad reminds me of my dad..After his second paralizing stroke he fought the rehabilitation team till they gave up and my dad's muscles atrophied..It breaks my heart to see him in the nursing home..
Dearest Heavenly Father..We come gathered as one prayer asking that God's perfect Will be done for Jacie's dad..We ask that You heal him from head to toe and thank You for loving to hear prayers from Your People..We also ask that Jacie be given an extra measure of faith, courage and patience..In Jesus'Name we pray..Amen..all be blessed..In God we trust..Philip

(She asked me to post this)

Dear friends,
For the past 7 weeks my dad has been quite
ill with what the doctor surmized was just a cold. (sound familiar?) On
Monday I took him back to his doctor for the third time. This time a
chest xray was taken and he was given some new meds. Today I received a
call that his physcian upon examining the xray noticed thickening in the
lower lobe of one of his lungs. They are making arrangements to do a cat
scan. Now mind you I have a dad who is a very stubborn 83 year old
Pollack who hates doctors. So not only am I concerned about what is
wrong with this lung but also dealing with a very difficult man. I ask
for prayer please. ~Jacie~
