Doreen, you are in my prayers! In 2002 my husband had lost his job, and we lost everything we had...our house and 2 new cars. Thank God he was only without work 15 days and we were back on our feet soon after. We kept our faith, even when times were tough...after all how bad could it had been? We lived in a hotel for almost a year, but we still had each other! And if you have each other, and your love for each other, you can get through anything!! Hang in there sweetie! This too shall pass! The truth is everyone is going to hurt you. You just have to decide who is worth the pain

Well, this strikes close to home. Living in a rural area, I've danced the thin line of staying employed. Whether through luck or judgment, I've avoided companies that went under, and left others shortly before they did. Self employed 10 years now, but much of that has been a monthly struggle to get by. I hope this doesn't sound trite, but situations like this can often be a blessing in disguise. It's easy to say keep an open mind about alternatives, but I do speak from experience that sometimes these situations present a chance to take a different path. I've managed to get by with relatively small course changes, but others I know have made radical changes and succeeded. There is probably little that could be more frightening to the breadwinner, than making such a change. But the working world is changing, and sometimes such change is ultimately unavoidable. My thoughts and prayers are with you, that something good comes your way and soon! Jon |

Not silly in the least to ask for prayer Doreen. A lot of fellas about my state are losing their jobs and it is darn scarey and very frustrating to the man who is the sole breadwinner in the family. Besides that it really deflates a mans ego to not be working. How awful the double whammie about your freezer taking a dive and losing all your meat to boot. NEVER FEEL DORENE that you cannot ask for prayer or somebody eleses woes are much more than yours. We are all here to support one another. Do let us know when his job starts until then prayers and hugs ~Jacie~ ~Jacie Stralko Duca~ JMDUCA@webtv.net

http://www.videocure.com/music-video-code/a/9a178c6d31a7dfc28bfdad5a2dd7c9a1.htm l ALAN JACKSON LYRICS "Little Man" I remember walk'in round the court square sidewalk Lookin' in windows at things I couldn't want There's johnson's hardware and morgans jewelry And the ol' Lee king's apothecary They ware the little man The little man I go back now and the stores are all empty Except for an old coke sign from 1950 Boarded up like they never existed Or renovated and called historic districts There goes the little man There goes the little man Now the court square's just a set of streets That the people go round but they seldom think Bout the little man that built this town Before the big money shut em down And killed the little man Oh the little man He pumped your gas and he cleaned your glass And one cold rainy night he fixed your flat The new stores came where you do it yourself You buy a lotto ticket and food off the shelf Forget about the little man Forget about that little man He hung on there for a few more years But he couldn't sell slurpees And he wouldn't sell beer Now the bank rents the station To a down the road And sell velvet Elvis and Second-hand clothes There goes little man There goes another little man Now the are lined up in a concrete strip You can buy the world with just one trip And save a penny cause it's jumbo size They don't even realize They'er killin' the little man Oh the little man It wasn't long when I was a child An old black man came with his plow He broke the ground where we grew our garden Back before we'd all forgot about the little man The little man Long live the little man God bless the little man

With everyone else needing help I know this is silly, but with my husbands job almost done and waiting to here if he's got knew job. Our freezer crashed taking all the meat with it. We'll manage but was hoping you could pray for him getting this job. Thanks doreen |
