Yes well I respect all of your concerns of others in different countries but you must remember not only are people in danger of dying or starving to death or being abused not only children. But what about the animals like dogs, cats, and wild animals still being poached for their fur so a poacher can make a pretty penny and mount their kill on a wall in their trophy room. What about the animals separated from their owners that did not mistreat them what about them.
Animals are like children to, everyday I watch Animal Planet and watch the Animal Cops shows and everyday I wish I was one of those cops getting justice for those sweet loving pets that have been abused. The animal didn't do anything to their owners except love them unconditionally and look how some of those owners repaid their pet by hurting them, by abusing them. If you ask me that person does not deserve to walk on the streets hurting poor innocent animals.
My family has three rescue dogs and my boyfriend is going to provide a home for another beautiful animal that has been abused and hurt. I mean animals have rights to and every animal has a little human trapped inside of them just wishing and wanting to be loved. Please help those at the ASPCA to help those poor mistreated animals get better homes and better lives. |

Geez guy, care to give a 14 year old a break?
There are many Americans who are concerned about people in places other than Africa, including the US of A. I am one of them. Why just tonight, I wrote a check to the Salvation Army to help send inner city kids to summer camp! I am doubling what I gave last year.
And as for your remarks about the south, I think you need to take a road trip and get to know your own country. I was transplanted to the south. However, know that I went to graduate school at UMASS and have spent most of my life up north or in Europe and Japan. I have to tell you, during my tenure in the south of the USA, I have yet to encounter teethless children eating road kill. If you can point me to them, I will help. And this is not just talk. I walk the walk.
Don't ever condemn someone for caring.

Why do Americans focus this sort of energy and money on so many countries in Africa? White guilt? There are fly-ridden kids eating boar poo in Ecuador! How about the millions of poverty-stricken families in the former Soviet Union...that WE ruined? Christ, there are kids down South with no teeth, wielding shotguns and eating roadkill for breakfast! I can walk a few blocks in Boston and lose an entire month's pay by simply given a quarter to every homeless man with a cup!
Why aren't we helping them? |

There is a drastic need in Darfur and it is good you have brought it to our attention. There are a number of people who are leading in the Cause to help. I have seen a number of Sites that talk about it. I believe that George Clooney is one of those in the public eye who are calling on Governments and people to help in this desperate need. It is tragic indeed and something should have been done long before this.

WELL HEY EVERYONE....IN MY WORLD HISTORY CLASS WE ARE STUDYING ABOUT GENOCIDE. SO FAR OF WHAT I LEARN AND SEEN WAS VERY HORRIBLE AND VERY SAD THAT BACK IN OUR PAST PPL WERE STARVE TO DEATH, GOT PUT OUT ON THE STREETS TO LIVE, AND THEY GOT SHOT ON THE SPOT BECAUSE OF THERE RELIGIOUS, AND RACE. FOR EXAMPLE, LIKE WHAT HAPPEN IN RWANDA IN 1994 THAT THERE WAS OVER 800,000 PEOPLE GOT KILL. ALSO THAT I DONT WHAT THIS TO KEEP ON GOING LIKE THIS PEOPLE ARE DIEING EVERYDAY NOW IN DURFUR BECAUSE OF THERE RACE AND RELIGIOUS 'THAT NOT RIGHT'. ALSO IT SEEM LIKE NOONE IS DOING NOTHING ABOUT THIS!!! SO TODAY IM WRITING THIS FOR YOU PEOPLE TO READ IS BECAUSE WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND CHANGE THINGS AROUND. SO PLEASE HELP THE PEOPLE IN NEED IN DARFUR, GUESS WHAT THEY ARE DIEING EVERYDAY AND NONE DOING NOTHIG ABOUT IT, SO THE WAYS YOU CAN HELP IS GIVE MONEY OUT TO THEM OR WRITE A LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT, ANY CONGRESS, SENATE, ANOYONE THAT IS IMPORTANT AND YOU THINK THEY CAN HELP AND CHANGE WHAT HAPPENING IN DARFUR!!!
