Lesa, dear friend, I visited Bradley's web site, knowing you and Lori (CandyCane) came to love the heart of this foster mother who gave so much of herself to his cause. It was a horrible and heart breaking story. And I read enough to know that Kip is a good, good man. I'm so very sorry to hear about his illness, and most certainly will keep him, and all those who love him in my prayers. Please let her know that all your friends at Starlite are praying, and that we care. Hugs.......Jeri

How heartbreaking to watch a loved one pass away and even moreso to know that they have been in so much pain. I am glad that hospice has been called in. Most are truly "GOOD FOLK" Lesa you sure can count on my prayers for Kip I pray that if it be his time God take him quickly so that he may not go on suffering and that his family find comfort in knowing that prayers are going out for them in their time of sorrow. Lesa, my dear sweet girl...How tragic is this. Thank God for Starlite and the threads that are right within our reach in times of need and despair...which this seems to be both of...I do not know these people, but one does not have to know another to have your heart and your prayers go out to them...I know this touches many souls and I just pray that the Lord's presence be ever with them through this time. It is only through God that we are able to survive these times in life that are so very sad and sometimes just very hard to handle..Wondering why??? Perhaps because God needs him as a very special angel. May this family know peace, hope, comfort and in time the joy that comes with knowing that all is well with his soul - that he is truly with them always...no matter where/no matter when. My prayers are ascending for all...as well as you my dear ...for all you hold near and dear to your heart, I always will as well. Amen With all my love, Mama MA - God's Little Whispers ^j^ "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." Henry David Thoreau

Good Morning Everyone, I know that you have not seen much of me these days except in catch up visits, which seems I don't get to nearly as often as I would like. I recieved this request in my mail and want to add it to our prayer chain here. Kip Lyles was the foster mom of little Bradley that was murdered by the hands of his mother and step father aprox seventeen years ago. She has become such a dear friend in the years since Lorie (candycane) and myself was led to meet her. Lots of you know this little boys story thru our writes for him and possibley even remember when this whole sad thing had its beginning so the family really is no stranger to us here. Please keep Kip and her family in your prayers. I am pasting her letter here. Please everyone stay safe. I miss you all. Love, Lesa ~~~~~ My ex-husband is rapidly losing his battle with cancer, and it is probably just a matter of weeks before we lose him. He lives in Tennessee with his wife. Shari and David are leaving Friday to go see him. Shari will have to be back at work on Tuesday, but then they are going up there again the next weekend and take all the grandchildren. Shari plans to stay a week or so then and help them. This is the first time any of them have seen him like this as the cancer was VERY aggressive and hit him full force all of a sudden. David and Kiana (the 5 year old) flew to Michigan the end of May to meet Dave (my ex) and go mushroom hunting with him. He was in some pain then, but kept it from everyone. However, all of a sudden now, he is in extreme pain. Just a week or so ago they put him on morphine and vicodin and the pain was still almost unbearable. When he went for a "PET scan Monday, they added another pain medication and Hospice has now been called in for him. The "PET" scan was to see if anything could be done, but they said the cancer had pretty much "exploded" and is everywhere. I talked to Mary (his wife) Tues. night, and she said you can see him getting weaker by the day. Then, about 3AM Weds. morning, his pain was so severe that Mary had to call hospice for help. They came out and now Dave is on pain medication every hour. I don't see how he can make it much longer. Please keep the family in your prayers as this is a really rough time for everybody (including me), and the worst is yet to come. The "grands" have never lost a loved one, and they are not going to deal with it very well. I'm sure I am going to have some really tough days this week as I will be keeping the girls' while Shari goes to Tennessee. If your church has a prayer list of any kind, please add Dave to it. Thanks, Kip
