Thank you for your beautiful response to this thread Tess! We all know how hard you and Keith are working behind the scenes to try and keep Starlite "up to par" the way Albert would want it, and I (we) SO very much appreciate all that is being done. Again, let all of us know if there is anything else we can do to try and do our part. If everyone just did just a "little something" it would help! Love to you Tess (and Keith too of course!)

Hi folks! I sure do appreciate the effort! It is always a good idea to do some spring cleaning! And of course, we should all have our poetry backed up.
I need to talk a little more with Keith about some of this stuff. We have some issues regarding running the site that I won't get into. You know, legal stuff. Tranferring contracts and accounts! So far, people have worked with us. Unfortunately, the response rate has been a little slow. But at least they are working with us.
I will let you all know more just as soon as I do!

Thanks to some VERY DEAR friends (SHARON P, JERI, LESA, LYDI And ALICEANN, who came to my rescue I have almost all of my poetry copied ......good and bad LOL. I really think this is a great idea Sharon. I mean how many poems can a server hold along with comments before it breaks down? And lets face it there's a lot of poets on this site writting 3-4 poems daily. I am more than willing to began deleting my writes in order to keep this site active. Love ~Jacie~ P.S. Thanks to the two friends who have responded to my idea of deleting old poems to help free up space on Starlite's overburdened server. I am very interested to see what the administration has to say about this as well...would this "deleting" action actually help Starlite at all?

I think this is a great idea! I have already started cleaning mine up! I have less than 550 and I am still going! |

That is a very good suggestion Sharon. Although
I don't have nearly as many as most do, I have
already put on over 600 in just a bit over a year.
Actually I had thought of redoing a few of
them since they didn't get read at all when no
one knew who I was...but am sure I could choose
to keep some other places. As well as our
personal picture galleries we use for our poetry.
Will be checking the thread out to see what others
seem to think. Blessings to all..

I'm in the process of deleting many of my poems...in going back to read some of the older ones I find myself cringing! LOL I wonder if a lot of the Starlite oldtimers did this, if it would help "free up" some space on Starlite's overburdened server. Would someone please tell me? It is something simple we could do to help out.

We have to keep this site alive! Let me know if there is anything that I can do as well! Does the site have enough money coming in to keep it running? Do we have enough advertisers and people donating? Maybe we could run a Star Lite Telethon, the cyber way! |

I just want to make an addition to this thread: for Tess and Keith. If there is ANYTHING at all I can do to help Albert's dream of "The Starlite Cafe", please contact me. Tess has my pnone number and address. I know I am only one of MANY who would like to help you with all of the work so that you don't feel so overwhelmed.
Any other Starliter's out there reading this? Do you want to also make comment?? Love to all...especially Tess, Keith and Albert's spirit.

To Tess, Doc, Keith and any other persons who may be in charge of "The Starlite Cafe." What is the fate of this beautiful site? Is Keith working on acquiring a new server? Is Tess' server still "down?" I've been absent for a while but I am and always will be concerned about this place. I miss it. I miss Albert.
