Thought I'd better get my butt in here with an update..Sorry I've taken so long but am still trying to fight this pneumonia..I am getting better but at a snails pace..The doctor told me Monday that it could take a few months before I am back to normal because my ammmune system is so compremised...Normal? I'd love to see that happen..lol Fran was sent to Boston Hospital earlier than expected and more tests were done. The stomach cancer has grown and the doctor says his lymph nodes are in question so even more testing will be done. In the meantime, he is back home waiting furthur instructions and they do plan to operate very soon...I have some concerns about it but it is not my choice to make...It is Fran's and he wants to move forward with it and appears to be very hopeful. I've not had contact with Mary since last week...Seems everytime I call she is not home. I just hope it's not an indication that something else has gone wrong.. Thank you for your Prayers and friendship during my upside life and for helping me stay afloat... always in friendship ~R~ |

Hello again, I've just returned from my doctor visit. Seems the antibiotic is what caused the hives and itching so they put me on yet another one. So now we have tried one that didn't work and one I am allergic to. The hives on my chest were so huge you'd have thought I had three breasts...LOL...Lots of rattling was still heard in my chest and again I was told that if it doesn't improve I will be hospitalized..They also said the pleurosy (sp) might hang around for abit as will the pain..grrr... Well, that's about it this time around... Thank you all for responding to this thread...It means more to me than you probably know.. hugs from cyclops, ~R~

I read this latest update and shake my head as tears fill my eyes. Oh sweet friend how miserable those hives must be for you. I know because I had massive ones all over my body 12 weeks of them. Break out late at night and early in the a.m. and had to be treated at Mayo because nobody here knew what they were caused from. All kinds of tests were taken including putting me on nerve pills which proved futile as I still got them. Mayo removed one entire hive from my thigh....finally (and what should have been thought of) they succeded in realizing it was the medication I had taken for years that my body had grown a tolerance to. And acted like a hinderance instead of being a help. Alomost like poison. My God Rose Marie what you have been through. Health issues for not only yourself but family. Loss of a brother recently, and it all just seems to continue. Honey I promise to continue to keep you and your loved ones in my prayers. Oh how my heart goes out to you. Love ~Jacie~ ~Jacie Stralko Duca~ JMDUCA@webtv.net

Just a little update about my Brother Fran and Sister Mary... Fran is home and is getting outside help...He sees the oncologist/surgeon next month and more tests will be done to see if the cancer is operatable..If it is he will go to Mass General in Boston...I don't understand how it will be possible because of all the other health factors. We'll have to wait and see. Yesterday was hard on him because he had dialysis and then had to attend the funeral of his Mother-in-law. Mary is also out of the hospital. She went to court on the drug charges and has a continuance, also for next month. I call her every few days and am trying to convince her to come and live with me but so far I have failed...She needs to get away from the company and life style she keeps and look toward the skies for help. I spent nearly seven hours in the ER Tuesday after being rushed in for severe chest and back pain...I've had a cold for a few weeks and because of being run down with little to no sleep I now have pneumonia and pleuresy in the lower right quardrant, if I don't get better this time I will be hospitalized...They wanted to keep me but said I could come home if I promised to take it easy and see my regular doctor...I called him yesterday and have an appointment today at 3:30. The antibiotics they had me on last week didn't work so things just blew out of control so I am on a whole new regiment of antibiotics and pain medication but as I write this I look as though I've a Halloween face on because I am covered with hives and the itching is driving me mad...if it ain't one thing it's ten... Please continue with Prayers, as they are still much needed.... Thanks to the love, Prayers and support from all of you, I am able to stay afloat mentally.. Thanks for always being there for me. ~R~

Oh Rosie, my heart and prayers go out to you. How are things today? We're sort of in the same boat. I know how much it hurts to watch someone suffer, and I know the uncertainty of, in my case, a son who is going through some legal battles (just arrested last night for "breaking" parole - long story - not as bad as the state makes it out to be). If we didn't have prayer warriors lifting us up....you're in my prayers! HUG!! Bobbie |

Dearest Rosie, I am so sorry. ((((hugs))) I know our Father in heaven is carrying you in His arms as He is sheltering you from the storm of trials and tribulations. I know it may be pouring at the moment, however, I want you to know in your heart I've lifted your name up the lord our God as well as your family members. May the light of God's love fill your heart with warmth and may it comfort you. Please take it slow and do not over excerpt yourself. May the lord be with you, Rosie. God bless. Hugs and love from me to you...~MoNi~
