Thank you so much Melissa, my dear, for putting
this note up for us..I was going to call her in
just a few minutes. Had planned on calling her
earlier today and sure am glad that I didn't
since she is feeling so poorly. I will call her
tomorrow to check on her. She is bound to have
her peaks and her valleys. This was no small
operation and undertaking - we all have known
that. We will just keep sending up those prayers
for her pain to subside, her health to improve
and for our little Sonshine Girl to get back to
the Starlite Cafe where we all love her so...and
she just so definitely belongs. Thanks again
Melissa...another of my Sonshine Girls :-) Love
to all....Mary Anne ^j^

Heather has had a rough day today. She has been having some bleeding from her bladder because of her catheater. She is in a lot of pain and discomfort right now. She said that they are supposed to take it out at 6AM tommrow. She said the pain meds have not been helping, but the muscle relaxer has been. I was getting worried, had tried since noon to talk to her. And just did at 7pm. She says to tell you all hello.

thanks, melissa

Wonderful news my dearest d-daughter! I tried to call you today (Sunday the 15th.) but did not get an answer at your end. My continued prayers for a quick and speedy healing with no complications and no rejection of the transplanted organs.

How exciting! It is great news to hear! I pray that her body accepts its new organ, and everything works according to God's purpose. Amen.

Happy Sunday!

Dear Poets and Poetesses,

I communicated with Heather via telephone just a minute ago. She sounds so elated and in good spirits as she is not able to sit up yet, although, she is doing remarkably well considering she underwent an eight hour surgery. Her beautiful smile radiated over the phone receiver and this is truly a blessing. Praise God. She is resting well for the time being and is in very good hands at the medical center n Charlotte, NC. This is all for now as I will be calling her before she leaves for home.

Love, ~Capri~

I too talked with Heather by phone and was amazed how well and bright and together she sounded less then 24 hrs after her surgery. Imagine after a wait of over 6 years on one list to get what you need to keep on living in less then 10 days, has to be devine intervention, Praise you Lord. She also received a pancreas transplant, which according to new medical advances could mean no more diabetic treatments will be needed. She was in little or no pain and is excited about getting to live life free of dialysis and it's time consuming restraints. I am so happy for her. Consider giving her a call I'm sure she'd love to hear from you and your support would help her make it through the next 9 or 10 days of hospitalization. There is a phone in her room and the number to reach her at is.. 704-355-6862. If like most hospitals you can reach her any time but they prefer you call prior to 9 pm their time

I had gone to bed but I think I am too excited
and overwhelmed to go to sleep. I did call
Heather too. She sounds just absolutely as
good as can be. If only all of us could stay as
positive as she does. She has most certainly
had her battles but she has smiled her way right
through them. She didn't even sound groggy or
anything. I just had to say thank you to Melissa
as well for letting us know this wonderful news
right away. What a good friend you are Melissa
and so sweet to keep us up on what is going on.
God bless you, God bless Heather, God bless
all of Starlite and God bless Tess for coming
on the thread tonight as well....My cup runneth
over ...I am just so happy. Goodnight my friends
and angels on your pillows. With love, Mary
