I do have an update for you all on my Grandpa!! Your prayers are obviously working!! My Dad called earlier and said they were going to take him off the ventilator this afternoon!! Dad was saying he won't be able to eat until they do a swallowing test in the morning so he was hoping Grandpa didn't get too upset over that and somehow go backwards in his recovery!! Hopefully they will give him something to keep him calm and let him rest until then!! Dad also said Grandpa has some kind of infection that is resistant to normal antibiotics, but they are giving him some kind my Dad didn't know the name of and keeping him in isolation until he gets better. My Aunt and Dad can be with him as long as they wear gloves so that is good!! Dad will definitely be staying through tomorrow and will see how he is doing then!! Hopefully all will continue to go well!! Dad seemed to be very optimistic about the whole situation!!

Oh my little sonshine girl...my heart aches for
you. My prayers of course will be with you and
your family. My maternal grandfather was such
an inspirational joy in my life and until this
day still influnces many decisions I make and is
a big part of who I am. My Mama's family was of
the Quaker Religion - very uncombative and humble. It is through this family that I received the 'gift of poetry' - having had a
great-grandfather who wrote as well. Keep us
posted honey and I hope he improves by the moment. With these Starlite warriors how can he
help but do that? This is the place to come to
be blessed. Sorry not to have seen this sooner
but my life stays a bit topsy turvy right now.

Thank you so very much to all of you for your prayers they mean so much!! I have not heard from my Dad yet today, but I just got home from the doctor myself so we will see what happens. I am going to try and call him if I haven't heard from him by sometime this afternoon. I will let you all know as soon as I know anything!!

Heather, I'm so sorry about your grandfather honey. He will certainly be in my prayers and in my thoughts as well as you my little friend. I know this can't be easy on you either.

Hi Everyone,
I know how you Starlite angels all come together in times of need and this is one of those times. I just found out that my Grandpa had been admitted to the hospital because he was having difficulty breathing. Apparently he had to be placed on a ventilator and is currently in the CCU at the hospital. He is in the Chicago area and his daughter lives there, and my Dad is on the way to see him. He has only been out of the hospital for a week or so and had been there siince before Christmas. I lost my Grandma, his wife, in November of 2005 and it has been so hard for him since then.
Please life him up with your thoughts and prayers they are very much appreciated!!!
