Thank you everyone. For some reason I cannot fathom, I seem to work best under extreme pressure. Don't like working under such conditions, but it sure beats folding under....
Nowhere near out of the woods, but have at least figured out how to stick around for the next 2-3 months, during which time I know something will show up.

Jon my husband and I ran a business for a long time too. Before he took it over from his dad they had worked side by side for 23 years. Things happen and boy talk about taxes of being self employed. If you're not a big company don't expect Uncle Sam to help you out any.
I sure will began prayers for you. and ask that the good Lord be prompt in assisting you with financial help. We all do have a little something to look forward to hopefully in May courtesy of President Bush but I realize you need help now. So those prayers are en route NOW fella. ~Jacie~

I know exactly where you are at, because my husband and I have been where you are now. Being in business for yourself, is not what it is cracked up to be. Where are the nice cruises, the time to get away and let someone else stay behind to run things, and yes, the constant chase for funds. You are in my prayers.

Never thought the day would come when I'd be asking for prayers on my own behalf, but the day has arrived. I've been self employed for 10 years now as a machinist, working out of my garage. Due to many factors, some beyond my control and some to due mistakes made in learning to run a small business, I have never grown beyond a paycheck to paycheck income. The writing has been on the wall for some time as I lost a huge amount of work when a customer started manufacturing their product in China.
About a year ago I began discussing starting a new business with a friend of near 40 years. We set out to design and manufacture custom motorcycle parts and have a very unique product to highlight our entry into a crowded field. We have received nothing but praise for the prototypes, and are mere weeks away from starting to sell the initial run and start marketing in earnest.
The problem is I have just flat run out of cash. I have reached the point where paying rent and bills through April is highly in doubt and it won't be much beyond that before I'll end up selling off everything I own and could end up homeless. I live in a semi rural area and there are just very very few jobs that I could even remotely be qualified for.
And few of those pay enough for me to eke out a living.
I need something out of the blue. A ten grand lotto ticket would float me for several months, and give me a chance to try and find new customers and/or (hopefully) start to draw some income from the new business. That'll have to come from the few tickets I have in hand, won't be buying any more for a while... Or having just the right new customer fall into my lap would work as well.
I'm not fussy, I just need to find a way to float through the next few months. At least I hope that'll do it.
Prayers for some little boost, from any direction, would be much appreciated.
