I have been praying for this town and those who are affected by this terrible tragedy. I cannot imagine how devastating this is for them all.

Creator of all that is or will ever be, we come to ask you grant blessings of strength, peace of mind and Spirit, to those who had loved ones and friends perish in the tragedy at the sugar plant in Pt. Wentworth. We ask for blessings of healing for those injured, both physically and mentally, by this event. Please surround this entire community with your strongest Angels in the trying times they must face. We love you and we know you hear our every prayer and we thank you for listening. Amen

I watched this footage for quite awhile last night and my heart and prayers go out to the community, the injured and there families and for healing of those who lost family and friends.

i saw this on the news last night as I was preparing to go to bed. Then after learning of it I found it very difficult to sleep thinking of so many after this tragedy hit. Oh my yes these folks need our prayers and so therefore I join with you all in doing so. ~Jacie~

I hadn't heard this but I will for sure be praying for this community. I am glad that none of your family was harmed except for their extreme sadness I know at the loss of friends. Such sadness. My prayers sweetie. Hugs, Lesa

Yes, I heard about the explosion. It's such
a sad situation. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone down South. Dixie Crystals has been around for quite a long time. I remember the yellow box.
I am so happy your daughter and her family were unharmed.
Lewis Finley E-mailed me last night with several links regarding the explosion. Lewis resides in Fort. Wentworth as well.

Hello Starliters ~ I would like to request that
you remember the victims, their families, the
responders, everyone in the small community of
Pt. Wentworth, GA. What for years was called
Dixie Crystals - plant exploded last night about
7:30 pm in the evening. Perhaps you have seen
it on tv. Many, many burned -
so far the fatalities that they have found are 6 but still
doing search and recovery. My grandson and his
wife live within a block or so of where this
took place. It shook their home. Even shook
homes over in SC. An onlooker said the fire
ball went about 20 stories into the air. It was
terrible. Still burning this evening. They
have evacuated many of the burn victims to the
Burn Hospital in Augusta, GA. Please just keep
them all in your prayers. The needs are so
varied and so intense. It is so sad.
If you have seen some of the footage, my grand-
daughter is on one of the video's since they
live right there. Rebecca Doty - if you saw
her.
My daughter's family knew two of the dead so far.
A small community but Dixie Crystals was built
there in 1915. They moved to GA from LA. You
probably have eaten lots of their sugar. God
bless you for all you do praying for all who
are in such need. With love to all...
