Thank God you posted this. I have been sitting
on pins and needles all day...wishing I was
there or at least knowing how they were doing.
They had so many days to go through. I know it
had to be hard...Ompapa showing up was the
highlight...isn't that just the most wonderful
thing? You had told me he was going and I was
so glad. No better 'ambassador' for Starlite
than Ompapa to go in my mind. Although many of
us would love to have been there...we were in
our hearts and souls. We miss you Bubby and
prayers are still ascending for all of you. You
can rest in the peace that Elizabeth is herself
in peace. God bless you all. With much love,
Mary Anne ^j^

My heart has been with our friend today, knowing that he is saying a final farewell to his beloved wife, Elizabeth. I was happy to hear from him today, and I'm sure he won't mind if I share with you his exact words...

"We are running on fumes right now...the memorial was simply outstanding...and one of the
greatest highlights was the one and only Ompoppa showed up to pay his respects...more later dear friends..
I am wasted...God bless you all...
hugsnprayers,
Bubz"

Hugsnprayers to you too, dear friend, from all of us here at Starlite.

Luvs ya...
Jeri

This is the link that we have posted to leave condolences on our Patriot Guard Riders forum. The Patriot Guard Riders is committed to supporting our troops and their families. We also honor our Veterans. Even though Elizabeth was not a veteran, she was a patriot. Bubby is a veteran, she will be buried at Riverside National Cemetery in Southern California this Friday. Please keep him and his family in prayer.

For any who would want to pay their respects, on the PGR forum, they first must become a member of PGR.(it's free) If you don't agree with our mission statement, then chose another method to pay your respects.

Awww Sis...It was like you were reading my
mind. I was just sitting here and feeling
very sad and teary thinking of Bubby and his
family and how much I wished I had the money
to send them flowers...and then this came
on line....I will do my best to save some
money to give MS. That is what my sister-in-law
in N.GA has. She also has had cancer and they
are thinking now it may have gone to her brain.
Her Name is Trish Marr if you could send some
prayers up for her....I need to do a posting for
her. God bless you for letting us know what is
going on...and Bubby just sounds just like him-
self for sure. I am so very proud of him. I
have told him often...somehow I just knew without
having to be told or to see. That's just the
kind of person he is...and that spoke to me
about just how much of a beautiful spirit she
had...for him to be so loving and caring for
her like he did....hugs, Mary Anne ^j^

Dang. I wanted to send flowers. But I got this response from our Bubby...

Dear Jeri,
No flowers please. The Military only allows the flowers that the family has provided from the Mortuary.
If they would like to make a donation to the M.S. Society, I'm sure it would be appreciated.I am flabbergasted
as to the fact that so many people have came forth and told Lisa and I, how much of a positive force she had created in their lives. She was such an inspiration to them and their own problems seemed lessened by just knowing the pain and suffering that she was going through. They are all of a sudden coming out of the woodwork with the stories of how she inspired them with her strong spirit , loving nature, and how she would never complain, no matter the pain she was in. I miss all of my friends at the Starlite, and the phone has been ringing off the hook. Please know that you are all loved, and we will get through this somehow.
Hugsnprayers,
Bubz

O.K., my friend, a check is on it's way to the M. S. Society. And we know, dear Bubz, that you WILL get through this, because there are sooo many prayers from Starliter's winging their way to heaven, and even MORE love and hugs that are headed your way.

We luvs ya, Bubby.

Hugs...
Jeri

I am so thankful that this finally got put on
Reaching Out. I started to do it myself Lesa
this morning - I am glad you beat me to it. I
knew that there would be so many who just
depend on Reaching Out - as I do - for the
information on what is happening in the Starlite
world. All of us are just so very sad - but I
am glad that Jeri found out some of the details
for us and the note from Bubby - God bless his
dear heart. I pray the Lord is with Bubby and
his daughter and I know He is. We love you
Bubz...and Lesa - thank you love for getting
this here where it belonged too....Your other
Mama - Mary Anne ^j^

Dear Bubby,

My Uncle Oscar who was a Screaming Easgle in
WWII is buried at the same cemetary Liz will be.
Now I have tow people in that cemetary there.
I pray my Uncle Oscar was a paratrooper and landed on the beaches of Normandy. I believe he was 93-95 years young. At the burial the veterans from the WWII Screaming Eagles Airborne gave the sword salute. When My Auntie goes to visit my Uncle I'm going to ask her to visit Lady Liz too. So please know Liz will not be alone...

I can't stop crying, Bubby.

I am so so so sorry my dear friend.

I love you lots,
Monica

I shall send floers in the honor of Lady Elizabeth's memory.

Our dear Jeri (morning_song) was able to talk to Bubby. She was good enough to share this message he sent to her with us all;

There will be no memorial service for Elizabeth per her request. There will be a graveside service only. Pastor Mark Burgaehr will preside over the service and she will be buried
at the:
Riverside National Cemetery
22495 Van Buren Boulevard
Riverside, CA 92518
Phone: (951) 653-8417
FAX: (951) 653-5233
on Friday at 11:00 a.m.

This is a cemetery for Veterans and their spouses. She will be surrounded by hero's that have served their country.

Since she was my hero, she will be right at home. You cannot imagine the calls coming in and my daughter and I are completely overwhelmed by this outpouring.

Please let the Starlite know how much I miss each and every one of them, and also how grateful my daughter and I are for the tremendous out pouring of love and good wishes from the Cafe. Shine on my friend.

Respectfully,
Bubz

Perhaps you have seen this heartbreaking news already, but I found out quite by accident that Bubby has lost his wife. Devin posted the below to the general discussion thread and I know that many of us no longer get that thread. My prayers Bubby for you in your time of grief. I saw no where that you would not want this posted here and wanted to be sure that everyone that loves you so dearly, has a way to give you their condolences and prayers.

Posted by Devin and Renee to the discussion forum
