I would like to thank those of who sent me personal emails and prayers regarding my grandaughter Erika. BIg thanks to Frank and Aliceann, Lesa, Sharon P. Lydi, Linda N, Josharon, Mary L,Rose Marie,Phillip,Lewis,Kesia,Dorthy, forgive me please if I have left anyone out the list goes on and on who emailed me many times during this storm of events that took place while she and our daughter have been at THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH. Erika (I thought has had 33 spinal taps but I was wrong she now has had 37) a lot for a little girl of only 11 years of age to go through. Good news is that they may be enroute home tomorrow but sadly they will have to increase her daily injections as there were some complications that they saw that they did not like. I so want to say THANK YOU too all of you who have been a real support to me. NOW I am going to ask one more favor that somebody suggested. If al all you could find the time to send Erika a card to tell her how proud you are of her for all that she has and is going through I would so appreciate it. I know it would lift her spirits. She is one very brave little girl with a devestaing non cureable disease called Cinca Nomidssyndrome. Email me and I will GLADY give you her snail mail addy. Thanks again my dear and loyal friends. ~Jacie~ ~Jacie Stralko Duca~ JMDUCA@webtv.net

Sis, Erika is in my prayers each and every night, but special prayers go up for her and her mom today. May He watch over them and bring them both through with the least amount of pain and stress. And may the news be good news this time around. Love and hugs! Peace and Love, ^^LINDA^^

Dearest Jacie, I can't tell you how many, many times Erika has come to my mind and I have prayed. I wonder often how she is doing. I shall be holding Erika and Amy up to the Throne of Grace during the days ahead and I pray that the testing will have good results. I have been touched deeply by Erika's story and all that she has been through and the rest of the family too. May God grant them traveling mercies, strength and hope as they go. I pray they will feel the many prayers being sent up for them and the love that goes with them. God bless you Grandma...hugs and love, sharon |

Good Sunday to all of you, Today my grandaughter (Erika age 11) and her mom (our daughter Amy) will be leaving for Maryland to go to the National Institute Of Health for Erikas yearly checkup for her most unusual and not well known disease (Cinca Nomids Syndrome) Erika will be hospitlaized for one week where she will undergo various tests INCLUDING the painful spinal tap (one of about 33 that she has already had) I am asking all my friends to please pray for traveling mercies for them and to allow this testing to have good results. Erika gets a daily injection for this dreaded disease.I have gone with them all but once and this time I cannnot go again due to my new job as assistant manager. THANK YOU Signed by a grandma with a heavy heart today. ~Jacie~ ~Jacie Stralko Duca~ JMDUCA@webtv.net
