Thnx to all for Prayers for my son and his family. I am home for a few hours tonight and will try to catch up on personal emails, but no time yet to read and respond to new posts. John is recovering from his accident and the man who financed his truck has given him additional credit to have the engine repaired... $10,000.00 worth .. GULP!!!!
Rhonda is hanging in there, Her spirits are good but her limitations are less each day. She is at the top of the transplant list now, and should donor lungs become available we are praying that she can withstand the surgery and that her body will not reject.
The hard part of the transplant is, that Rhonda is a small woman and so donor lungs would have to come from a teen or another small person. We hate to think about life ending for another that she might live, and especially a teen.
With winter coming on, Rhonda will be pretty much confined to the small apartment.
I am not sure of how much longer I will be away... but think of you all and hope I will be able to return home soon.

Hello~
I donot know if i should be posting this or not, however i am out of concern and love~! I feel so helpness not doing anything so here it goes..

I got a email from SisterWolf and I am sharing it with You...
Dear ones,
I have an awful financial problem and am asking if anyone could help.
My health has been becoming more frail... the hospital bed comes
tomorrow, but I have faith in the Lord.
My financial woe is: The phone company is going to shut off my phone
if they don't receive payment in a week.
I am very good about paying my bills, but they had this deal for DSL,
and they say I didn't read right about cancelling - that I have to pay the
extra anyway. I guess I can't understand some things as well as I
could... or they fibbed. I am having my caregiver take over things I
might goof up.
I need $75.00 and have nowhere to go - I have no food either...
I know we are all in the same boat - so if you can't - NO BIG DEAL!
I am just pushed into a corner. If I lose my phone I won't be able
to be online.

Anita, thank you so VERY MUCH for posting this update from our friend Boo. I too, was beginning to worry about her silence.
And reading her post makes me realize I had VERY good cause for worry. I'm so terribly sorry that these events are weighing so heavily on her shoulders.
I add my prayers to all the other Starlite prayers that are winging their way to heaven. I pray for John and Rhonda, and I pray for our good friend Mary Cannon Apodaca. You are in my heart...Jeri

I shall definitely begin to pray for John and Rhonda Cannon. May God bless them and meet their needs. I pray that healing can come and rest to their minds and hearts. What a difficult time they are going through.

I received an email from BooKaye, and am sharing it with you.
"Anita,
Things are very crazy in my corner of the world... Family situations that require way more of my time and energy than I have available so I am falling apart.
I have had to delete 99% of my emails and am not able to respond to much of my personal messages....
My daughter in law, Rhonda, has a lung disease... hereditary, and her last evaluation was a week ago,. She has been told she will live only about 2 years without a lung transplant... IF, she does not catch a cold, the flu, or develop any kind of infection. Rhonda is 42 and has a 15 year old daughter. Her husband, my eldest son John is an owner operator over the road trucker, who hauls livestock. Four days prior to learning of Rhonda's current status, he was injured while loading cattle, and has been unable to do anything so I have been there caring for him. The day following Rhonda's return from the evaluation my son's truck engine melted down a main bearing and he must now have the engine replaced. The intense stress on him is taking a serious toll. My mind is focused on trying to help them so have flat out ignored all STARLITE communications other than personal emails.
Prayers for John and Rhonda Cannon are needed..... if you would have the time to share this with STARLITE members...
