Dear Starlite Family,

On behalf of the Hilliard family, I thank you for all of the messages of condolence, the cards, the kind emails, and most of all for the way you have banded together to reach out to our family during this most hard time.

A most lovely floral arrangement arrived from the Starlite Café. I can’t tell you how much that meant to us! It was truly beautiful! I thought you might like to know that this heart shaped arrangement of flowers and love will go on giving love to others. My Aunt Ethel (who is a minister) will be creating a variety of flower bowls (as she calls them) from the arrangement. These will be given out to patients in the hospital and nursing homes as she does her annual Christmas reach out. As Dad said, how wonderful it is that these flowers can go on and bring joy to others is just such a wonderful thing!

Again, I thank you all for the love and compassion you have shown to us.

So sorry for your loss--- The poem below is something I wrote for my grandmother when she passed away. I hope this will ease your pain some---Wrestless Winds
Restless winds upon the shore,
Are not restless any more,
What winds have crossed both sea and land
No longer swoosh along the sand.

They have found their higher calling
From the heavens up above,
They have performed the ultimate sacrifice,
They have perished for God’s love.

Once young , they scoured a mighty earth
In search of HIS golden treasure,
They kept HIS plan as they traveled,
And used HIS rod as their measure.

They grew strong and abundant soon,
The winds, they just got stronger,
They knew there would come a time
When they would blow no longer.

Using HIS will, they set up life’s plan,
Helping others along life’s way,
Fearing none except HIM above,
The wind doth worked, and did seldom play.

The other winds all gained their strength
From the first one as they grew,
And now that wind has petered out,
It is looking for me and you.

The wind that helped the little breezes
Become mighty winds across this land
Has tired now, has only one last call,
That being the one most grand.

Restless wind upon the shore,
Being not restless any more,
The call’s been made, You’re all aglow,
For HE is now for whom you flow.

}

Mothers are Forever

Dearest one, I send you all my love and prayers.
These are times of life when we face reality most starkly and with confusion as well as pain.
May you get through this and get on with living.
Be at peace.

Mother's never die! They merely watch over us from a greater vantage point... We worry and wonder and cry (I still do) When we lose those closest to us. I am so sorry for your loss and am crying for you two.. It will not seem long to her when we join her in the wonderful place she now resides... Time is no more, and we are there with them even now! Consciousness is more than thinking and awareness more than we may conceive while lingering here. Each of us have a mission while we tarry here. Upon completion we exit at the time we appointed for ourselves when we formulated our plan for the upcoming (Now Past) life. We honor the memories and stumble for a time without the prior support both seen and unseen by our beloved. Through tears now, I affirm this to be true. I stumble and trip through life during the day and night... We know the words of comfort... They fall on deaf ears! I can only say: I know and share your grief, and we will ALL be together agin! Planning new advenures in consciousness... With Love, Light, and Blessings, I am in sympathy with you both! Ompapa ~ John McGrath

Dear Dale and Tess,

So sorry to hear of your loss, but if you believe in Jesus, as I pray you do, that loss is only temporary. I also pray that God, and your memories, continue to comfort, bless, and keep you.

Angels waiting in the mist, and hands out streched as they wait for the final breath here on earth, my arms reaching out to touch eternity, and waiting to embrace my beloved savior. I am surrounded with warmth, love, understanding, forgiveness, and a peace that passes all human understanding. I hated to leave, but let all I have taught you, and shared with you live in your hearts. This is not good bye, but later. I love you.

I am sorry to hear of your loss, and I will keep you in my prayers. God bless and comfort you as only he can.
