I wanted to give you all an update on this. I contacted the GW Review, and they were very quick to reply to my inquiry. The GW Review is associated with George Washington University, in Washington D.C. This is a legitimate college based poetry review. I am paraphrasing part of their reply to me below: They do not pay for submissions, regardless of whether or they choose to publish them. Additionally, all of their funding comes from the George Washington University and their subscribers. They do not ask poets to spend money on anything other than the postage to get the poems to them, and a self addressed stamped envelope in order for them to return the poems to the poet if they choose not to publish them. Finally, if they do choose to publish a poem sent to them, that contributor receives two FREE contributor copies, any extra copies the contributor needs to pay for. Albert and I both feel this is a legitimate call for poetry. We were given the proper information to check on this further. And it all checks out. Just know; this is not a money making venture. It is a chance to be included in a review overseen by college students at GW University. Albert and I both approve of this call for submission. It is on the up and up, as they say. And we approve 100%. Tess

Please note that the Starlite Administration did not approve this request for poetry. We are not affiliated with the GW Review. As always, use caution before entering any poetry contest. Check them out on line first. If anyone at this site has any knowledge of this review, please feel free to give us some guiding input. |
