pssst,

Here's a little trick I learned...

Some people have a bit of a problem posting their link in a challenge...

If you open your poem, just as if you were going to read it, you will see up towards the top of your browser screen, in the search line, the "http://www.thestarlitecafe and etc. (it will contain the identifying number of your poem)

Right click your mouse, and highlight the entire address of the poem.

click on copy.

Go over to the challenge, as explained below, write your intro message, then right click your mouse again, and PASTE the http:/ address.

Bingo. Your link appears, and WITH NO TYPO'S.

And here you all thought I was such a great typist. ROFL. Hope this helps too.

Hugs...
Jeri

Again, Good post Jade.....this was needed....thank you for getting it up so quickly.

Sometimes circumstances will prevent a moderator from being online when needed..therefore I will add that any moderator, or myself would be able to help if a poet is still having any difficulty...and cannot reach the moderator of challenge they are posting in. For your convenience I have listed all email addresses of our challenge moderators.

Quick Tutorial for posting:

On your home page you will see a baby blue bar at the top of the page that says this

Home Write Read Challenges Social FOS Join Subscribe Admin

Click on Challenges and go down to where it says

Weekly Challenges decided by HOST

Click on that and then go to the bottom of that list and click on

Catch The Soaring Star Challenge

A page will then come up that has the rules listed for Catch The Soaring Star.

Scroll to the bottom of that page and you will see Catch Ths Soaring Star with Lottie457

Click on that

Scroll to the bottom of that page and there will be an empty box. In this box you post the link to your poem, the title of your poem, and whether it is official or not. Official means that you want to be considered for the win and are willing to host the challenge for the next week if you are chosen.

You get the link to you poem by going to your poem on your home page and hold these buttons down at the same time

Ctrl C

This allows you to copy the link to your poem

When you are ready to post it in that box on the CTSS challenge page you would then do

Ctrl V

To paste your link in that box.

When you have completed these steps you then click on

Preview/Post Message

If you are satisfied with the way your post is
click on Post Poem

You poem should then be posted.

If you still need help please feel free to contact me @ djademc20@yahoo.com or any of the moderators and they will assist you as well.
