Before anyone has a fit because they think I'm taking credit for some elses work I'M NOT. This is a Damien Rice song. Damien Rice is an INSPIRATIONAL artist. I write songs too and I find it easiest to write songs whilst listening to this guy. He's actually amazing. He's Irish, Like me! And ''The Blower's Daughter'' is by far my favourite track on his new album ''O'', Simple, Short, and BEAUTIFUL! You might recognise this song from that crazeh movie 'Closer' With Clive Owen and Julia Roberts etc. etc. Well anyway, HERE ARE THE LYRICS! Its a beautiful song...

And so it is,
Just like you said it would be,
life goes easy on me,
most,
of the time.
And so it is (he has)
The shorter story,
No love no glory
No hero in her sky.

I can't take my eyes off of you,
I can't take my eyes, off you,
I can't take my eyes off of you,
I can't take my eyes, off you,
I can't take my eyes off you,
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is (he has)
Just like you said it should be,
We'll both forget the breeze,
Most,
Of the time,
And so it is (he has)
The colder water,
The blower's daughter,
The pupil in, denial.

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say you better want to
Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind...
My mind...my mind...
'Til I find somebody new..

It rocks. Any other Damien Rice fans in the building? People say I'm weird for liking Damien Rice at my age because apparently ''He's too mellow''. But I love him, and it's my friend Tara's fault I love him so much. I'm not usually into his genre though.. My favourite bands at the moment are My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte and Funeral for a Friend. Papa Roach too =D and The Cure etc. etc. I could go on for days but my fingers hurt from typing.

Much love to yaz,
Sazzeh xXx

I'm a HUGE fan of damien rice man, i saw him play live at glastonbury that year. :P He isn't too well known in the states, but i take him with me EVERYWHERE.

I think it's a bit retarded to say that he's too mellow for this ore that age group, in that a person is a person and there aren't restrictions on what you listen to. He's just awesome.

(if anyone else compares him to James Blunt I'll smash a chair through a window!!!)
I am freezing and losing my way, I don't want another map of your head, Yeah. -Muse

I love Damien Rice and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I discovered this guy after the local rock station played his song, Volcano. He is a genius songwriter, and a poet for the ages!!!!

Thanks Sarah!! You jogged my memory of this song with the lyrics. I wanted to listen to it again after I heard it at the end of Closer, but being an Idiot sometimes, I forgot to see who sang it. Now I know thanks to you!!!
