Hey everyone, I’ve been a member for three or so weeks – so I thought I should get around to introducing myself. My name is Chris and I live in the UK – England to be more precise. I very recently felt the need to start writing, and while looking for poetry tuition, I stumbled across thestarlitecafe. In my short time here I feel I’ve become more confident with my writing, and I really wish to improve to a level where I could get published. I feel that would be a great achievement. It seems there is a friendly bunch here, and I look forward to getting to know people! P.s. I’ve been looking around for poetry workshops (the Birmingham area) or some form of course, but there seems to be nothing out there. On contacting local libraries, it seems the only option available is a poetry reading group – which only reads classical poetry, rather than allows participants to write their own. Has anyone here set up some form of poetry circle? I’d have no idea where to start, but would defiantly like to get something started if possible.
