Hi everyone. I don't really consider myself a poet, though I do write poetry. I am inspired more by history and politics than I am by nature and influenced more by writers like Isaac Deutscher, Peter Fryer, Francis Wheen and John Reed than I am by poets.
I write in both English and Irish and am influenced by poets such as Cathal Searcaigh, Sylvia Plath, T.S Eliot, Seán Ó Ríordáin, John Montague, Patrick Kavanagh, Yeats and Máirtín Ó Direáin. I am also influenced by the lyrics of Lou Reed, Richey Edwards, Kurt Cobain, Claudio Sanchez, Joe Strummer, James Dean Bradfield, Lindsey Buckingham, Morrisey and Frank Turner.
