Hello Kim and welcome to the Starlite...or is that re-welcome? My name is Dory and I am a big fan of your grandma's! I believe you are a poet for I have read the few pieces you have posted and you do write of feelings quite powerfully...
you've heard the joke...how do you get to Carnegie Hall? the answer is practice, practice, practice..and like any art, poetry needs to be practiced..and that is what our privilege and pleasure as poets is...to seek within these words some more for meanings never heard before.
Now keep writing, keep posting and I will keep reading!
