Thanks everyone for your warm welcome. I think I've found a home. It has been several years since I've found a poetry board I like. I'm soooo excited! Lloyd...I, too, would prefer happy tears over sad. Unfortunately, life does not deal us the perfect world. I also write a lot in the third person. I try to put myself in someone elses situation and write about it. Sometimes I feel I'm successful...most times I feel lacking. 'Little Teardrop', however, was written straight from my heart. The little tear was my very own. I wrote it the night my father died...when I tried to hold back the tears...and failed miserably. Thanks again, everyone, for the warm welcome! :-) I'm off to do some postings!!!} |

I is a perfect poem, Leiloni. My tears generally are flushed by act of kindness, happy endings, overt true love; and I go quiet and pensive when there there is sadness. So I do not relate to sad tears. Your piece is great, I just say. Keep up the good work Lloyd Winburn |

I did it! I'm here and posting! Hooray for me, eh? I'm especially sending out a hearty hello to blind_poet, doreen and TinyTeddy whom I met in chat last night. Helloooooo! :-) I look forward to reading many of the poems posted here and getting to know you as time will allow. Unfortunately, I am working two jobs and have only fleeting moments. However, tax season will be over soon and one of my hectic jobs will 'tax' me less. I hope to be able to post than. For now I will leave one of my poems. Not sure what category it belongs in so will post it in misc.} |
