Exactly. One thing which finds me perplexed..is the obvious belief that Jesus Christ existed and was titled God's Son. How could God's Son be anything but divine? Ok if Suposebly Jesus was God's gift to mary just like Abraham was given a son by God. Why wasn't abraham's son the "Son of God" etc Why didn't Abraham's son sacrafice himself for all of men and be succesful in destroying death. I'm probably just talking to myself here but logic is part of God's artilery as well as mystery. I'm just having trouble seeing the logic in the oposing arguments. Then again im still lost for words as to why a fundamental christian who takes the bible word for word..would not be carying out the sacrament of communion as is directly asked of them or why when Jesus says clearly this is my body and blood..why a fundamental bible basher would say it was symbolism? Hmmm i could be here forever. Oh and don't get me wrong i've come across some inconsistancies in the Catholic Church too..but i have made efforts to understand them better too and work out whether its just me. Most of the time its just me.

again, not an expert on islamic beliefs but I'm farly sure that their belief is that Jesus was a prophet of Allah- that he was of spiritual importance but not an actual messiah.

there might be individual athiests or agnostics who deny that he existed but i think you'll find that in general these people are *not* qualified to speak in authority on such matters. scholars across the board no matter what they believe are all forced to acknowledge that jesus definately existed.
all figures of such huge religious significance become clouded by myth and obscurity but then when you think about it, what would be the point in suggesting that jesus, siddartha gautami or muhammed never existed? thousands of years of evidence suggest otherwise.

I have met an agnostic who was just throwing up smoke screens trying to make me doubt that Jesus even existed or was crucified. The Muslims quote me if im wrong, don't believe Jesus Christ was crucified.

i've never met an athiest, an agnostic, a jew, hindu, buddhist or even a muslim who did not believe that the man history knows as Jesus existed. it's not a disputed fact; the thing that IS disputed is who or what he was.

Check out the tablet - "Pontius Pilate, Governor of Judaea"

AND IF Pilate was Governor, a revolutionary carpenter from Nazareth in Galilee named Yoshua Bin Yusif went on trial before him, AND THEN on trial before Herod, for if Pilate was, so was Herod.

AND WAS ACQUITTED ON BOTH OCCASIONS!
