Travis, a very humble and heartfelt apology - spoken like a true gentleman.

Read some of your poems this morning and just wanted to say keep up the good work, you're well on your way to becoming a really good poet.

Deacon.....? What is wrong with you..How old are you? a 16 year old pops out of line with a 4 letter word ONCE and that means everyones blasting you? Are you suprised and shocked that such a thing could happen? His even apologised... Grow up :-) and do not go and put guilt on anyone who was discussing here because sum1 mentioned you were being a bit of a D__k! Another thing there was plenty of discussion on this topic about evoloution...not alots been said since you made a huge deal about a 16 year old slipping out a 4 letter word. Once again..grow up. Please and come to your senses..it is now you who owes us an apology not us who owe you anything.

to deaconsteve, i want to apologize for how i reacted to your statement earlier, it caused a lot more drama than what i thought it would. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings in any way, I was just angry at the time and felt that was the only way I could express my feelings. I know what you meant by your statement and it upset me because I don't like it when people "attack" other people in that manner. You did it hidden but you still did it. Anyway, I just wanted to apologize for the name I called you and for hurting your feelings.

I don't usually get into these discussions of Christian teachings vs. evolution, and will only put up this one comment with a verse from the Bible which ,I am sure everyone has read but never understood.
After God had finished making this world, it says:
Genesis 2:4
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day thatthe Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

Key word "Generations"
Have you asked God what was meant by this?

God Loves You and so do I.

Discussion on any form on any topic can generally lead to criticism, sometimes logical sometimes harsh. When you are in a Discussion Form ,youashould be ready to face opponent's view or others view in more polite sense. There are two ways to escape from criticism. One is convience or get convienced. other method is to be silent. But it never means that we should leave the form it self. Deacon my dear brother, you are agreat angel on starlite. I wonder How can you fel so upset for merely discussion going on wrong track. Travis is a young guy like our sons. Do our kids not say such things. Do we leave home. No We love them. We should love him too. I would thereforerequest you notto feel upset on the boy and shower your love on him. We allneed your love and blessings. With tears in my eyes I request you to stay here.

I’m truly sorry you’ve decided to leave, Steve, you will be greatly missed and I do hope you will reconsider. Your poetry was such a blessing to so many here at the Starlite as was your sponsorship during this most difficult time.
We are all travelers on the bumpy road of life, sometimes we stumble but each misstep is a learning experience.

I hope people are having fun. You take a general statement/comment out of context on a Spiritul Discussion Forum and you blast away at the person who made the statement. I haven't read one significant comment on the discussion of evolution for a very long time. All my love and prayers. May God bless you and grant you the blessings of good health and long life.

I will now terminate my membership from this web site and also my donations.

I beg to differ Deaconsteve..there is prayer in public skools. Those of faith are sure to work around and compromise with the state to have no public communal prayer. Let me also say september 11th you couldnt stop the kids from praying in any school!?

melissa your rite, we all have our own opinions, and forgive me for not being mature enough, but if deacon didnt like the discussion he has no business being that way about it, that is a pet peave of myne when people are mean in a nice way, trying to cover up how they really feel but trying to get their point across, theres no room for that in here, and i wanted to show him that

Melissa, just so you know, this is NOT the global warming thread. That's down in political.

People often react in an emotional manner when they or others are given a tongue lashing without just cause.

I wouldn't have chosen that particular four letter word, but I do agree with the sentiment,
if you're not interested in the topic, why belittle others just because they are?

"Do we actually value religious diversity, or have we determined, because of our history, to endorse a particular religious tradition to the exclusion of others?"

Craygie_chaos...is it really necessary to call people names? You say that you don’t want to be seen as an “un-educated child” I don’t think that you are, but to call someone such a name, is really uncalled for, and that is not what these boards are for. If you do not agree with someone, that is fine. We all have our own opinions, which we are entitled too. But the mature thing to do is learn and respect what others feel and believe, and not to call people childish names like you have to Deacon Steve.

I had not been coming in this area but have been getting it and reading. All of you have valid points.
Global warming is a real problem to everyone, and we have got to do our part to help slow it down if possible.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

no offense deaconsteve, but do you think you are the only one thinking about things like that, well your not, im 16 i no exactly what you are talking about in the youth, and youll probably just think im an uneducated child when you read this and probably just shrug it off, but you are ignorant if you think you are the only one fighting that fight, so we may discuss "God/evolution" in our freetime, so what, that is important to us, you dont have to run down discussion boards like this just because it isn't important to you, if you want to try and be superman and save the world, go rite ahead, but you dont have to be a dick about it

People are starving all over the world, including in the U.S.; elderly folks cannot afford medicine; our country is at war; governments leaders continue to battle about the war; crime is abundant; tornados destroying people's homes; people out of work, homeless; children victims of abduction, sexual abuse; no prayer in our public schools; no alliegiance to our flag, family life shatterd, destroyed, almost non-existent, morality of youth lacking poorly, kids shooting kids in our schools, news media feast on negative stories for rating sake; all of this going on, and we are debating about scientists and God/evolution. Count me out of the discussion, got more important things to take care of. God bless you all!

What is God's nostril exactly....for God to breathe life out of it whats entailed. It's not that the bible is incorrect or wrong mate...its quite simply the bible still leaves God and his works along with other things as great mysteries. Why? Purely because we're not God and more will be revealed in time..and it is slowly. :-)The problem isn't so much with scientists but the scientists readers...who read 1 thing and form their own opinion outside their day job!
