Meaning the revealing of the Lord Jesus Christ...No one can make you believe or have faith only you can come to that conclusion...In the end your choice will be your choice... This was a discussion on Christians preaching peace and those who go looking for peace in the worldly desire will never truly find it..Peace come from the Lord and those who seek and believe to them they will recieve it...I know in my life I was battling many things especially regets of choices I made...When I repented of those things, Jesus forgave me but it was not until I forgave myself..once I did then that was when the peace came and settled in my heart.. It's in my nature to care and give. It's not in my nature to believe blindy and follow a flock of people into their damnation. :D What else have I done that is Godly... hmm... oh yeah I serve no one but myself in my selfish ways. Uhm... I found the perfect mate for me to build a family - a family is useless, made just for procreation - what else have I done with intensive labor, pain, and desire... I've reached superior knoledge than that of my creators (parents), I am the first in my 'family' to make it as far as I have. He has given me my health, a home, a husband who loves the Lord and loves me. he has given me healthy children, clothes on my back, food in my stomach. I love my Lord, and I want to please Him in every way. I am on the altar, not shackled, but willingly, giving my service to Him. JESUS IS ALIVE, as for an example I can give you quite a lot of things that the Lord has done for me, He gave me life, He gave me a home, he gave me healthy children, he gave me a job, he gave me faith, he gave me hope, He saved my son and I from dying in a fatal car accident November 11, 1999, He saved my children from hurt and pain, He saved me from committing suicide quite a few times, he puts food on my table, He watches over my children and my husband and my family and my friends (Did I just hear some one say preach it?????) thank you I will, He gave me a car to go to work in , he gave me friends to rely on, He gave me brains enough to grow my children up the right way, and to feed them , clothe them, love them and everyone around me including you even as upset as I am. I do not believe the Bible is outdated. I and many others can still confidently relate to the bible in our lives today. The word has so much more behind it then just "words" It is life..its wisdom is better than socrates..better than any mans. Why? Because it accepts mans folly.... the crusades, spanish inquisition, molested children etc.. its all in there. Even in the Jewish religion which Jesus was apart of and set to re-define what it truely meant to love your God. Jesus's words, his actions, his thoughts and the stories etc are all in that great book which no human could ever amount to. As for other religions; i share the Roman Catholic Church belief that God manifests himself to all humankind. Whether they be buddhaist, muslim, hindu, christian, whatever. God knows what each of us can handle at any given time. He may have made things difficult for us but He never makes them impossible. Hope is not a weakness! Many black, white, asians, arabs, africans, islanders etc etc get along together. More businesses are been forced by people power to adopt greener methods and limit/eradicate child labour and provide safer working conditions. Ok so you can never be perfect..try anyway and never stop. Whilst it is important to share your Own relationship with God..its incredibly foolish to think each person has their own God. No..for there to even be a God there would only be 1. However God would have very different relationships with each of us. Even Satanists can live better lives than some of us Christians..shocking thought isnt it. But the truth is no matter what religion you are..you will always be human [lets ignore reincarnation for now lol] you will also always have to make the continual effort to choose good. Its not always so clear either..so be aware. Theres whats good for me, whats good for my country, whats good for my church, whats good for europe, whats good for the west, the east, whats good for the world. I ask you to consider none of these when you choose until you first consider ... Consider God..What is good for God. God is goodness, whatever truely comes from Him is good. Where is the "Individual" in that thinking... other than using your brain to locate, copy, and type up whats in the Bible. I find it quite comical, and could picture a comedy show with the way each and everyone one of you describes "Jesus." You say the Bible is real, true it is the only book in this world that has sold more copies than better literary works. I do not deny that the Bible is real. Now when you say the jungle of words in the Bible are the Lords words, that puts a grin on my face. Think about who wrote a book. A handfull of scholars. I can also envision a actor dressed as that figurine people worship and adore giving you a helping hand, although supposedly already dead, nailed/stapled to a chunk of wood, and long gone to "heaven." I do not mean to offend you, nor mock or redicule the Christian belief. My sole purpose is to let you know that the decayed "teachings" of the Bible are obsolete. Thankfully most if not all of humanity knows how to read and write to some degree. No longer are their minds, wills, desires bent by the omniscient priests. If the world wants peace then people must all have the same identity such problems like famine, wars, and all the other things that go wrong wouldn't go wrong. Thus comes the play on ethics. If people truly cared, including all religious people, they would stop, pipe down, think, and start all over again. No one in this world has the will, economic power, or control to make peace in this world because we are not equal to each other. The blacks will always resent the white, the white will always try to enslave since walla' their God, their Jesus, their sence of purpose is to endoctrinate people into being feeble minded. And the others just fall along as pray to various groups. Notice I do not mention anything of oriental descent because they truly know what it means to live. Oriental religions, if they could be called that, which are more of a way of life (this is what the Bible, in my opinion tries to accomplish, making people live a sertain way of life) is balanced in all aspects that concern human nature. I think the way the world is today, is because people do not pray before they make decissions and ask Jesus to guide them, they just do as they think or please, I don't know what you are saying when you say that preachers should teach and not preach, for that is the way that preachers do teach, they preach the word of the Lord and you have to listen to learn, did you ever try that, I know that Jesus is real, and he answers prayers , even sinners pray and god can hear anyones pray, and if you are sincere, in your heart in asking him, he will help you and lead you, you have to listen, and believe, have faith. The Bible is real and it is the Lords words, Jesus has helped me so many times, and though I hate to admit it, I have been not so thankful as I should have been. Now I am counting my blessings, looking at what I have and without Jesus, I am nothing, things go wrong if you do not listen to the word of the Lord. You may have fun not listening for a long long time, but the trails you leave behind, the people you hurt, the bad things you do all come back to haunt you, It says in the Bible, "as you sew, so shall ye reap" Jesus said it, I believe it, It is true.It is real the words of Jesus.
