I was born and raised in the Baptist Church, 44 years this March, and other than that, I am one of thi websites most outspoken proponents of Zionist or Pro Israel Christianity. NOw I feel its now OK for me to say this, Albert, respectfully, he and I did have quite a few run ins over this issue. I, as an Old/New Testament Christian have Viewed Israel os My Spiritual Homeland for as Long as I can remember. I take a literal, and ultra orthodox interpretation of the Holy Bible Old and New Testaments, WHICH IS NOT TO SAY, parts of Holy Writ are not Symbolic, Case in point, Daniel 2, The Statue of Nebuchadnezzars Dream. The New Testament Equivelant being Revelation 13, The Beast rising from the Waves of the Sea. And I do not take religion half heartedly or lightly, I take it VERY VERY SERIOUSLY. Perhaps many Christians and Even jews take their Christianity and Judaism quite Ceremoniously, (NOTE I DID SAY SANCITMONIOUSLY) I however am not one of these. If you come to me believeing me to be one of these, you will find yourself the victim of a very rude awakening to find out elsewise.
But I wish to say, when ALbert died, a friend to everybody at this website, myself included, died.

In my writings I do share about how a loving God helps me I do not want to change anyones beliefs and I do not like others to push theirs on me but I do like to share what I belive and I like to read what others believe. I was born Jewish and babtised Catholic LOL what a mix? I just found that out reciently.. LOL Hope to get some more visitors to my writings and I hope to visit you all.

I'm a dyslexic atheist...God doesn't believe in me. But go with what you know. I've never seen anyone on starlite cram their theology down anyone's throat. It's a live and let live Paul McCartney type gig.

Albert stated the mission of Starlite well in the logo, "Bringing Poets Together Worldwide." Our goal is to continue Albert's vision and keep Starlite a place where poets from any religion or no religion can equally feel at home. What we want to avoid is someone bashing another person or that person's beliefs or views, either religious or political. Poetry is about expression! I believe that we can all express ourselves freely and still maintain respect and consideration for others. What unites us together is our love of poetry and respect for one another. I think this is the kind of community we have had and want to continue have. We are doing our best to continue the same philosophy and policies that our dear Albert had in place. Let's keep Starlite a place where everyone can feel at home. I hope this helps with these questions. Marvin (Partner)

i am a devout jew, but each child of god has right to their own opinion. i am not the least bit offended with the atheist point of view. one old friend of mine used to say (when he was living) "thank God I'm an atheist.
