Hi Everyone, I'm posting my newest poem here because I want to share something very special in my life with each of you. There are many who do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, they do not believe in God, they have forgotten the why of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, Easter, those special holidays we all celebrate in one way or another. We have a world filled with so many different religions that it is hard to sort out the truth from the lies, to know what to believe. I have attended a lot of different churches, studied a variety of religious beliefs and have searched my heart and soul to find the truth. I have prayed, God, if you really exist, show me, teach me, guide me, give me some direction, some light...where is the hope. In this life here on Earth we all are born and live for whatever length of time we have and die. I would rather live my life believing there is a God and when I die (we all do) finding out it is not so, than to live my life like there is no God, no Lord, no Savior loving me and when I die finding out He was there all the time and I had no need to die for all eternity but could have lived had I only believed and followed Him.
Here in the USA we continue to celebrate Thanksgiving Day through this weekend, most of us not even really giving much of a thought to all we have to be thankful for, oh we have so very much...and we move directly into the "Christmas" season, Santa Claus, parties, gifts, shopping, shopping and shopping and maxing out the credit cards to be paid upon until next season rolls around and here we go again...It's the American way. I guess it is okay if it is the way we choose to go...it's our right, right? I'm not going to criticise that, no I am not. However, I do want to share a special poem, what I believe for I know that I know that I know, God is, Jesus is was and always will be and that it is because of Him and through Him that I have a reason to celebrate at all.
