Why is it that any one who objects to abortion is pidgeon holed as a religious and so has a biast view. What makes this a religious issue and not a humane issue relevant to less ignorant views in politics. A Key point made by the "non-religious" is that they are protecting the rights of women. The idea that the woman is carrying a female in her whomb is not of a concern..why? Because the "non-religious"( i use the term non-religious because its the general ignorant view that people hold towards anyone who opposes such issues) do not classify this life to be fully human [hence no human rights]. What authority do these suposed "non-religious" have on determining exactly what is human and what isn't. IS this a scientific problem to solve. Can science give us a clear definition of what is human or not. Should politics input their own legal definition of what is human and what is not?

I would like to address the issue of suicide, euthanasia..all based on humans and their rights. Politics intervenes, science has many views, and the religious have theirs too.

A government that crys out "Sanctify human life" who protest for womens rights in the work place, free the refugee's etc etc

You get the idea we really do want to Sanctify human life...... only we don't have a clear definition of what exactly that is. How much longer can we prolong such a need to define something very important..the very thing which defines who we are and why we do what we do?!

Ghandi once said that if he found people who lived according to what Jesus said in the Bible he would be a christian too. Most religions, and services like the police, ambulance, child care etc Do strive for peace like in your poem..but we also have the ever popular mass media minority.
