Fellow Troop supporters.
I received the following email today (see below) as all of you have. As a supporter of the troops I pray for them every day. It's good for my soul.
But if you want to do more for our troops then I ask that you consider one or both of the following.
1. Write your congressman or senator and tell him you will settle for nothing short of victory in Iraq.
2. Select a charitable organization that supports our troops and send them some money! I call that "Praying with your wallet". This is good for them and it makes you feel good too.
I have several Charities that I support but being a former Marine I tend to like "Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund" most. It's for the wounded that have returned and are trying to make it back to as much normalcy as possible. Some of you probably understand the importance of this more than others. You can get information about them at www.semperfifund.org . Another one I contribute to is the "The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund" that will send children of our troops who have died in this war to College - http://www.freedomalliance.org/scholarship.htm . Many have already received scholarships. Check it out. There are many charities like this, some send goodies etc. Pick one you feel comfortable with and support them and our troops.
The key point is do what you can and keep the faith.

I understand the weather in Iraq is very difficult to bear right now. Our troops need our prayers for strength, endurance and safety.

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world. There's nothing attached; just send this to all in your address book. Do not let it stop with you, please - of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine deployed in harm's way,prayer is the very best!!!
