Watching progress in Washington
is like watching an ape
dragging on its knuckles
into the future.
We grew up in a time
where things worked
and worked good,
and it has now devolved into a time
where nothing works.
Everything built
has built in obsolescense
And people here don't work
'cause we've shipped all the decent jobs away.
Part of the new
levels of density
In the regression of evolution
In today's paper
I read a news flash...
Budget cuts in midwest states
have caused state social workers
to suggest leaving severely disabled people
at homeless shelters
if they can't be cared for at home,
as there is a 10 year waiting list
for Medicaid waivers
to help pay for their badly needed services.
Are they kidding?
What the ****
Why do we always crush the least amongst us,
those who need our help the most.
Hey, and while we're at it...
God created science...
and Jesus was a liberal!
It's up to man,
with the sense God gave us
to make wise decisions
(better than a soda cracker I hope!).
These days it's like progressive
is a bad word,
because this is what is pounded
into our brains by corporate owned media pundits
everyday...
So just try and tell me
that the corporations don't control the media.
Try asking Rubert Murdock and see if you
can get a straight answer.
It's amazing that people believe all this crap.
I mean, what happened to common sense.
Is it out the window?
Come on people...
Progressives and Liberals built this country with the
sweat off our backs. We built the roads, the schools,
public services, the fire dept., the local police, the
post office, libraries, bridges and dams, Medicare and
Social Security. Do you really want to give all this up
and rely on local governments to do everything? Come on
people, wake up.
Unions are good, not bad. They guarantee workers a LIVING
WAGE, benefits like health care and a pension. Unions may
not be perfect, and they certainly can use some
regulation, just like we need for banks, wall street, the
utilities and corporations, but only the unions are really
looking out for the welfare of the worker.
Why do you think so many people gave their lives trying to
form unions in the first place? Because corporations
cannot be trusted to do right by their workers when left
to their own devices. Just look at workers saleries these
days compared to their bosses. If you are a worker in the
middle or lower classes, Can you make a decent living
today? I rest my case.
If no one you know can get a job,
and the corporations are shipping all of our jobs overseas
with no penalties or repercussions,
and the banks run riot with wall street
destroying the economy
and leaving the middleclass high and dry,
while the Republican party votes to tow the line with
all of the corporate interests that line their pockets,
while blocking every effort that the Demotratic party is
using to try and bail us out and get the economy back up
and running;
well, do you think the Republicans are really working in
your interest?
Do you think they will do anything to help you or the
middle class survive?
If you do, you are a fool.
They will drive you into the ground and line the pockets
of the wealthy just like they have always done.
So why in hell would you vote against your own interests?
that's what I just don't understand.
You have a party in power right now that is trying to help
you. It may be slow progress, but it's a lot harder to
build back up then it is to tear it down.
We had a large surplus when Bush got in office. In 8 short
years he destroyed it and brought us to trillions of
dollars in debt, and also to the brink of a world
depression.
It will take time to climb back out of that hole...
but instead of giving the Democratic administration a
chance, you would vote them out after not even two years
and go back to how it was for the last 8 years before
that? That is surely foolish, and when things turn ugly
again and we have another downturn, and the middle class
shrinks out of existance...
you will have voted for that, instead of giving a chance
to those who have always worked for the interest of the
middle class and the working classes of this country, the
Democratic Party!
What could you possibly be thinking my friends?
Don't be blinded by the retoric out there. Don't let it
happen again. Please do not let our country fall back into
the hands of the Republicans. You will regret it dearly.

It is God's will that we move forward and evolve, not regress. Those who struggle hard to make us afraid, they are the ones who are really afraid. As American has grown through the years, we have evolved as human beings, accepting others and allowing people to have their own beliefs. This is why we fled Europe originally, to have religious freedom, not to cram our ideas down other peoples' throats. America has always been about acceptance, progress and education for all. Shall we stop that now? Shall we adapt a narrow-minded scope of reasoning and force everyone to our will and to do our bidding? I think not. Remain free thinkers, America. Do not let these fear mongers cram their beliefs into you. Do not be afraid. Stand up and be a proud American, who cares about your brothers and sisters who are suffering under corporate law of the land. Stop them from destroying the middle class. The American dream is for everybody, not just the top two percent of this country. Let's keep it that way. The only way to do that is with an open mind and an open heart. Help each other stand up and regain the REAL moral majority of this country: US, the workers, the middle class and the working poor, the family of man who cares and has compassion for all. |

If you disagree with a Liberal,you are branded as a bigot,a hater,a religious retard,etc,etc, and their talk show hosts even called a conservative lady in Nevada a bitch and hopes she goes to hell.No excuse for this type of hateful rhetoric.
Conservatives are held to a higher standard and if anything,the Liberals need to clean up their act.One Liberal wished a senior Conservative congressman would die from AIDs...what has this country turned into?
I am a former Liberal,and I will never regret changing my options....this president has wasted more money that all of our presidents combined.He hates America with a passion and is trying his best to destroy us as quickly as possible. If you cannot see that,I feel sorry for you. |

Once again you are mixing up the two groups, acting as if the consertavatives are the ones who are understanding, compassionate, just trying to do the right thing. Come on my friend.
It is the Progressives that are trying to make things better, while the conservatives are the ones trying to destroy everything.
Bush & Cheney brought this country to the brink of destruction in just 8 short years. It is Obama who is trying to save us, to rescue this country from the mess the last administration got us into. How quickly people forget.
Also, I have never seen a newscast where a liberal is acting with hatred, wishing death on anyone, or any of this propaganda you are again spewing. It seems to me that if you watch the news, it is the Consertive Republicans (now branding themselves as the Tea Party) who are handcuffing people, wrestling innocent women to the ground and stomping on their faces, threatening to dismantle every decent program in this country if they are elected, and threatening that if they don't win control in the coming election, that they are calling to take up arms (according to the 2nd amendment) and take the country by violent force.
So, you need to have your facts straight and not turn things around and try to scare us into believing it is the right wing who wants to do good and help us all. They only want to take things back to how they were when Bush was in office. How ridiculous it that? Oh yeah, let's go back to letting the country fall into a worse depression, letting the banks and wall street run unregulated and unchecked, so they can rip off the rest of whatever is left of the middle class and workers in this country. Get real, my friend. You are living in a dream world if you think the Republicans have interest in anything but making the rich richer, and the corporations free with unlimited control to run riot on this country. |
