Worlds Apart

Love unravels me
It leaves me mute and useless
My head spinning
My knees buckling
Under the weight of your hesitance
Your silence
Echoes throughout my body
Reverberating whispered notions
Of fear
And doubt
Ghosts of my past returning
To haunt me
And tempt me
To revisit my demons
My former supposed insanity
To crumble this life I've built
This love I've found
This world of good
I feel I don't deserve

But to push you away
The way I fear I might
That would be my true demise
The only miniscule movement I'd need
To pull me back into that world I built
That world I hate
A world I can't seem to escape
