Floating thistledown
Gift of summer winds,
Brushing the hand with softness
Haughty, aloft, solitary thing
Flying free and gentle
As a robin on the wing,
The dandelion that birthed you
Is hidden in grass,
The winds, see through like glass
Have carried you like a mother,
Over the pass
And into a milky white hand,
In this late winter land
You are gold set apart,
The richness of the goddess winds
Uplifter of my heart
