The rain was constant
It beat upon my brow,
I had to find sanctuary
But there was none now.
The rain was so heavy
I was walking blind,
My truck had broken down
It was dark and unkind.
I knew there was a garage
Somewhere along this road,
I had left my phone on my worktop
Which put my brain on overload.
Then an angel appeared
I tell you no lies,
Like a flash of lightening
Divine intervention from the skies.
She pulled me towards her
As a big truck flashed by,
I had been walking in the middle
Of the road, I heaved a big sigh.
I'm not a big believer in miracles
But I'm telling you this story true,
Next thing I was outside this garage
And my truck stood there all shiny and new.
I climbed inside and went on my way
As the sun came up it shone so bright,
And as I looked to the skies
I knew an angel had saved my life last night.
