Your Ear's Own Spin

So many hidden messages
whispered on the wind
So many interventions
take them for a spin
Like that game where one person
whispers in your ear
and you in turn whisper to the next
what you think you hear
by the time it is whispered to the last person
the message isn't clear
What the first one said and the last one heard
the outrageousness is quite absurd
so how can you trust what is whispered on the wind
that you won't embellish it with your ear's own spin
