Traitor

I brushed my hair

A thousand times and

Changed my eye lids

From green to blue and

Made up verses

I'd say to you

About how carefree my day

Had been.

I watched the door,

Thought you'd rush in...

Night fell and

I was still alone

So I took down my hair and

Combed and combed

One thousand times and

Made up silly little rhymes

To pass the time away.

My heart is sad, but

My mind wants to play.
