When I went out to drive yesterday,
There was a dead deer, on the side of the road,
That had darted out and demolished a car,
The driver is dead.
A deer with its pretty white tail and
Closed eyes, frozen in winter's grasp.
I turned my head as I sped by,
Wondering for which I should cry,
Man or deer?
My heart screamed BOTH!
