SHOULD EYES GROW DIM

A fragile beauty skirts the sky,
As far as I can see.
Between the snow-clad peaks in air,
It takes the breath of me.

The silence 'fore the wind that plays
In silence of the night,
Gives peace to weeping souls in pain,
And makes the day seem right.

In awe I stand upon this plain
To speak with angels free.
I thank my God for what has been...
And what is yet to be.

Should eyes grow dim and strength subside,
I shall not be afraid.
For there is ONE who planned it all...
HE holds the hand of me!
