A NIGHT TIME STROLL

Below the moonlight in the cold night air
They fluttered down without a care,
The leaves of autumn brown ,red, and gold
Framed in my mind such beauty was sold.

The fresh air to breath I just stood and gazed
As clouds cast a shadow I was simply amazed,
The slight breeze on the flowers cast a bouquet
Which was so strong it almost took my breath away.

I stood for a while taking in this magical scene
In my solitude and imagination it seemed like a dream,
A fantasy of rainbow colours the houses were red an green
The lawn a yellow and orange the leaves blue. what a scheme.

The pavement was all sparkling like stars from the sky
And music was playing from the heavens on high,
I smiled to myself thinking how can this be?
As a voice in the air whispered all this is yours for free.

As I looked at the oak tree he too was waving with glee
As he said with a smile would you have this dance with me?
I am quite light on my feet now that my leaves have been shed
We danced for a while then he up and said, I'm tired dear Sir, I'm going to bed.

In a blink of an eye it all disappeared into mysterious mist
The cold night returned but for those moments I had been kissed,
Kissed by the wonders of a magical fantasy of colourful elation
From nature's own garden I had witnessed the beauty of creation.

The stars shone much brighter the moon it did smile
As I skipped up the road I felt on top of the world for a while,
I went into my garden know the leaves were not blue
But I'll never forget this fantastic fantasy night, would you??
