ALL WAS QUIET

As the wind blew
Down this winding lane,
The leaves of life
Were giving me pain.

The memories flowed
Of a happier time,
When love was heartfelt
Not a wrenching crime.

A time in which
My life was fun,
She made me feel
We were as one.

On that autumn day
She took my blood,
She sucked it from me
And through me in the mud.

She took my life
All of my dreams,
Inside my brain
She split the seams.

In my subconscious
She planted a tear,
Where once confidence
Overflowed now was fear.

Fear and loneliness
I loved her so much,
But on that autumn day
She died with my touch.

Confessing her sin
Of betrayal and kisses,
She signed her death warrant
With these hands of wishes.
