ALONE IN THE DARK

My mind was all at sea
My thoughts in fear,
As I cuddled my baby daughter
Down my cheeks ran a tear.

Christmas time and no home
Crying for some food,
It got worse as she clung to me
I was in a terrible dark mood.

I screamed inside for some help
The streets were deserted and cold,
I had no friends in this town
My house and all contents had been sold.

My wife was a non compassionate bitch
She had left the baby in the park,
Then phoned me on my mobile
To tell me the baby was all alone in the dark.

How could the evil bitch do that?
I should have gone to the police straight away,
But I couldn't abandon this poor little mite
I love her with all of my heart what more can I say.

I did find an answer eventually from a friend
I knew a long, long while ago,
She took the baby in and loved her as her own
And now we're happily married don't ya know.

The lord must have shone on us that night
He sent an angel from the past,
Someone who loves and cares for us
Who gives us love to everlast.

FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS,
THERE WILL BE YOUR HEART ALSO LUKE 12.34
