SEVEN STEPS TO HEAVEN
There's a spiritual tree up to heaven
And it's branches are just so,
They don't bend or snap
You can climb them as you go.
They are numbered one to seven
And as your life proceeds,
You begin to climb the branches
But be truthful and don't decieve.
For there branches marked with sin
But guilt is not an option it is in the dark,
The branches will not obey your steps
You will be left with life's bad mark.
So be wise my friend and plan your steps
Go through your life with faith and measure,
Love, and be loved by young and old
For where your heart is, also will be your treasure.
Never forget the steps of love and kindness
For life can be a bowl of cherries pick them as you may,
Although it can be a fragile path sometimes
Remember the friendship shown to you along the way.
Revel in the beauty of mother nature's embrace
Laugh in the rain in your footsteps of life,
In honesty and forgiveness of mankind
In this world of what, where, and strife.
Never seek retribution from a tempestuous sea
Because the rocks of life can become mountains to climb,
The seven steps to heaven will prove this to be so
So tread your branches carefully and enjoy your time.
